Department-Enterprise Technology

In this role, you will be:

  • Lead and own end to end technical delivery for a release –requirement analysis, estimation, design, development, testing, deployment & post-deployment support
  • Lead Scrum Meetings, Daily Stand Up Calls, Retrospective etc. Understand and timely escalate risks/issues to release manager/technical product owners.
  • Actively contribute to triage calls, impact assessments, design workshops, code reviews, scrum of scrum meetings and troubleshooting technical issues
  • Ensure adherence to standard IT risks / controls framework while delivering the product requirements. Drive teams to achieve compliance with IT controls. Engineering Principles, Coder contracts and best practices and technology architecture designs. Carry out ITSA, EHC, CCAT, NFR Testing, Controls Testing and other compliance activities for the projects.
  • Closely work with IT teams, Principal Engineers, Architects and Product Owner to drive improvements, automations, technical debts, service resilience, engineering excellence related items through backlog management and priorities in releases.
  • Ensure maturity in the use of Agile methodologies (e.g. ATOM, Scrum, Kanban, Lean), and corresponding management of dependencies. Hands-on knowledge and experience of working on Jira, Confluence and Clarity (or similar project management tool) is a must.
  • Managing, monitoring and reporting progress, issues, dependencies and risks to the programme management, internal stakeholders and/or steering committees. Making recommendations to influence decision-making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realization
  • Ensure implementation of continuous integration / continuous delivery pipeline within a DevOps Product/Service team driving a culture of continuous improvement
  • Providing management to maintain a focus on how the project aligns to wider programme objectives, where appropriate, and to the change portfolio across HSBC
  • Communicate with the relevant stake holder regarding resolving technical issues related to delivery of projects and for IT incidents for Services involved
  • Lead, motivate, mentor and coach the teams
  • Work towards improving team capabilities and overall development by using PoD based learning, training and knowledge sharing and encouraging team to participate in technology events.
  • Drive people development through soft skill training, personal development plans and performance management reviews
  • Represent Liquidity in various technical and business forums.
  • Line management of Liquidity production team.
  • University Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline
  • Good to have knowledge on Cloud, BigData Technologies, Technical background with knowledge of at least one programing language, preferred
  • Good to have knowledge on Credit risk, Market Risk, Operational Risk & Regulatory reporting
  • Experience in using Jira and Confluence
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with a proven ability to priorities competing demands and communicate this effectively, high attention to detail
  • Proven ability to execute and deliver change, within an operational context
  • Effective leadership with requisite interpersonal skills necessary to direct and motivate the team to achieve results
  • Solution orientated, high energy characteristics necessary
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain global and regional relationships at all business levels
  • Strong collaborative management skills with the various stakeholders

 

Requisitos

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Should have at least 10-12 years of hands-on experience as a technical SME/Lead role.
  • In-depth knowledge on database Oracle/NoSQL/PLSQL, extensive experience on writing efficient SQL Scripts and SQL optimization.
  • In-depth knowledge on Linux/Unix commands. Having knowledge of Java/Python, Control M/any batch scheduling technologies would be an added advantage.
  • Experience in effort estimation, leading a POD with Agile methodologies is mandatory
  • Must familiar with using tools – GitHub, JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, Ansible
  • Candidate should have strong knowledge on cloud computing technologies, especially on GCP (DataHub/BigQuery).
  • Must have good communication skills (both speaking and writing) in English and problem solving skills, can-do attitude
  • Have thorough understanding of SDLC processes (AGILE, DevOps) and follow coding standards during the development.
  • Experience of working with diverse Business and IT teams.
