Global Payment Solution (GPS) Technology is one of the Service Lines under Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) Technology. We are responsible for designing and building the infrastructure and developing technical solutions to support our GPS business offering various cash management products to customers. Besides, we have an AI Engineering team being ramped up to drive the technical delivery of various Innovation initiatives in GPS with Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Leaning and Gen AI Technology.
The Opportunity:
Provide technical expertise on analysis, design, development, implementation, maintenance, and support of HSBC GPS system powered by AI.
Ensure that systems are implemented in accordance with IT standards.
Ensure system complies with group policies and standards
Investigate and resolve problems arising in connection with IT services
What you’ll do:
- Maintain close communication with business users and IT teams to deliver AI solution that applicable to our business.
- Participate in delivering AI solutions including requirement gathering, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance.
- Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging data to derive insights and inform decisions;
- Develop predictive models and algorithms, or leverage Gen AI technology to build use cases for business, and evaluate their performance;
- Monitor model performance of a regular basis;
- Collaborate with Engineering team to move models from prototyping to production stage on Cloud Platform.
Requisitos
- University-level degree or equivalent experience in Statistics/Data Science/ Computer Science/Information Systems or related disciplines, with relevant experience in data science or information systems.
- Experience with Generative AI / Large Language Model (LLM) / Open Source Models / Agentic AI, and know-how of applying Generative AI into different use cases via Prompt Engineering, RAG (Retrieval Augmentation Generation) or fine-turning techniques.
- Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (e.g. regression, mixed-models, structural equation modelling, machine learning/deep learning) in data analysis and experience with applications;
- Experience in creating and using machine learning algorithms / models (e.g. clustering, regression, decision trees, simulation, scenario analysis, neural networks);
- Experience with at least one of the following tools: TensorFlow, Keras, or similar.
- Experience with programming languages in data science or Enterprise application development (e.g. Java, R or Python);
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Dataflow, DataProc, Pub/Sub, etc) would be a big plus.
- Exposure to all stages of the Enterprise application development process, from design, development, testing, through to implementation and training.
What additional skills will be good to have?
- Experience with the following technologies (Hadoop, Spark, YARN, Kafka, Hive, HBase, MapReduce, RESTful services, Nosql database such as Mongo) would be an advantage.
- Team player and experience working in global teams with members in different locations.
- Aptitude to independently learn new technologies.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with good command of written and spoken English
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the capacity to foster partnership among project participants and collaborate with them to ensure successful project delivery
