HSBC’s Wealth business provides high-net-worth clients access to expert guidance and a range of Investment solutions including bonds, ETFs, Structured Products and Managed Funds. The Senior Investment Specialist will be responsible for providing high-net-worth and ultra-high-net worth clients access to this unique service. You will own the relationship with clients, helping to fulfil their investment needs and proactively service them as their dedicated investment expert. This is a senior role within the team, which will also provide an opportunity to be part of new business initiatives and also provide leadership support to the team.
This role represents an opportunity to join a growing business that is focusing on rapidly expanding its wealth management business in Australia. You will join a fast-paced results-oriented team presenting substantial learning and growth opportunities. You will work closely with the Relationship managers to provide your specialist investment expertise to existing clients of HSBC.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Utilise your extensive understanding of financial markets and investment products to have in-depth conversations with clients
- Conduct face to face and virtual meetings with clients, uncovering their investment needs and presenting suitable investment opportunities
- Proactively engage your client base to keep them up to date with investment markets and help the launch of new investment tranches and IPOs
- Discuss thematically driven investment solutions with clients
- Facilitate phone based execution for a range of investment products
- Engage in daily client interactions to discuss our investments platform, markets and offer solutions
- Provide market insights and research to internal stakeholders and external clients
- Act with courageous integrity and uphold the integrity of markets
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in a Finance and/or business-related field with extensive experience within investment markets with a proven track record in investment sales and wealth management.
- Exceptional knowledge of Fixed Income, Managed Funds, ETFs, Equities and Structured Products.
- Previous experience in dealing with high-net-worth customers
- Expertise in client relationship management with exceptional interpersonal and relationship skills
- Demonstrate a strong interest and passion for financial markets, international affairs and geopolitical events
- Able to work well under pressure
- Must have an analytical approach with strong intuitive reasoning skills and a high attention to detail
- Must have high level of self-efficacy, with a solution-oriented mindset
- Post graduate degree or CFA qualification are desirable
- RG146 qualified in Derivatives, Securities, Managed Funds and FX required
Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
