The Opportunity:  

Role purpose (overall high level summary of the role)

The purpose of this role is to successfully shape and execute against Wholesale’s global strategic change & simplification agenda. Process Engineering Senior Manager will collaborate with CMB & GB Businesses across regions to successfully deliver Change and build Community for the Bank’s wholesale business to bring cultural change via Lean Six Sigma mobilization; streamline and digitize our products, propositions and internal processes. They will have proven experience of successfully executing against the overall programme, Objectives & Key Results (OKRs). They will be accountable for the timely and high quality delivery of initiatives, adhering to HSBC core practices & frameworks.

      

What you’ll do:     

  • Support and implement process excellence and re-engineering agenda across all regions globally.
  • Cultivate and evolve a continuous improvement culture and community emphasizing on Lean Six Sigma techniques. Implement new initiatives and ideas on cultural change and replication.
  • Develop Lean Six Sigma training materials and conduct LSS Black Belt/Green Belt/Yellow Belt trainings.
  • Drive and coach productivity/efficiency related LSS improvement projects.
  • Lead mass communications and reporting of key performance indicators.
  • Deliver transformation change in Process Engineering to achieve cost, service level and customer satisfaction through mobilization of improvement initiatives following the Lean Six Sigma approach.
  • Support mobilization of Simply Better (idea generation platform).
  • Foster a high engagement team to deliver good quality output exceeding user expectations.
  • Lead Data Discovery Hub via conducting data analysis using MINITAB and other LSS tools.
  • Ability to conduct Process Discovery and Value Stream Analysis.

Leadership & Teamwork 

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Ability to co-ordinate with multiple stakeholders and get necessary actions/decisions taken within desired timelines.
  • Responsible to provide project status update to various project stakeholders including senior management.
  • Act as trusted advisor and a partner to stakeholders to identify and ensure commercially based decisions are taken on prioritizing and optimizing the project portfolio.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience of reporting and governance in a large programme.
Requisitos

What you will need to succeed in the role:       

  • Must be Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt certified.
  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant exp is must.
  • Hands-on experience driving Lean Six Sigma agenda in your organization/department i.e., training, coaching, data analysis.
  • Should have delivered projects with medium / high complexity and scope.
  • Strong change management and communication skills for training/coaching.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional, multi-cultural and location environment.
  • Ability to work on multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Skills to overcome challenges & roadblocks, create innovative solutions and work in an agile way.
  • Good English written, verbal communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Understands how technology/process improvements adds value to the business and to the end customer.

 

What additional skills will be good to have?     

  • At least 3 years of banking experience.
  • Experience in Transformation, Change Management, Agile, Design Thinking, Project Management, Digitization and Automation.
  • Experience on ideas generation and management platform.
  • Experience on Process Modelling and Intelligence tools like ARIS.
