We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Manager, Events.
Principal Responsibilities
The Senior Manager for Events plays a pivotal role in shaping, delivering, and optimising the organisation’s events strategy. Working within the Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) Singapore Marketing team, the role focuses on creating an events strategy that is aligned to our global approach, to ensure consistent delivery of impactful, high-quality programmes that strengthen brand positioning, drive client engagement, and support commercial growth among our key clients.
This role will collaborate within the Global Brand Partnership and CIB events community, helping coordinate, problem solve, and share best practice.
The role leads the execution of strategic events in partnership with global, regional and local marketing teams, as well as external agencies. The role is accountable for developing and deploying event toolkits, ensuring consistent execution and delivering measurable outcomes. The role holder will lead a high-performing team of three, providing guidance and mentorship to drive excellence in delivery.
In this role you will
Event Strategy & Planning – Develop and deliver a local event strategy aligned with CIB marketing objectives, identifying opportunities, gaps, and efficiencies
Brand & Positioning Alignment – Create strategic platforms and branded event properties that reinforce CIB positioning and HSBC’s global brand
End-to-End Event Delivery – Manage the full lifecycle of strategic events (planning, creative, logistics, vendors, stakeholder alignment, hybrid/virtual formats, and post-event analysis)
Client & Audience Experience – Design best-in-class client journeys, from invitations to delegate engagement, ensuring personalisation, segmentation, and seamless experiences across channels
Content & Marketing Integration – Collaborate with Marketing Services to deliver event marketing campaigns, content creation (e.g., podcasts, filming, social), and comms integration
Measurement & Insights – Manage budgets, track performance, analyse ROI, and implement best practices for promotion, engagement, and follow-up to drive leads and client impact
Leadership & Team Development – Lead and develop a team of event marketing specialists, promoting agile ways of working, creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Collaboration & Partnerships – Build strong relationships across global/regional/local teams, brand, agencies, suppliers, and partners to ensure high-quality, innovative, and cohesive delivery
To be successful you will need
Recognized for driving impactful marketing initiatives in financial services, with a proven record of planning and executing large-scale, high-profile events
Demonstrated expertise in event marketing best practices, delivering measurable results in audience engagement, lead generation, and compliance with governance standards
Skilled in designing scalable toolkits and frameworks that enable consistent, efficient, and brand-aligned event delivery across markets
Adept at managing budgets and supplier relationships, consistently achieving cost efficiencies while maintaining high-quality outcomes
Proven ability to lead complex projects under tight deadlines, building strong stakeholder relationships and ensuring seamless execution
Strong leader and collaborator, experienced in guiding teams and delivering successful events across virtual, hybrid, and in-person formats
