We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Retail Risk Analytics Manager.

Principal Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as Senior Retail Risk Analytics Manager who will be responsible for end to end credit risk strategy analytics development across origination and account management requirements. 

This role is to lead onshore and offshore teams (partnership with GAC in HDPI) to support business growth and risk management for HBAP retail credit portfolios through assisting in ongoing development, evolution, maintenance and monitoring of risk strategies for all HBAP retail portfolios. Through simplification, automation and rationalization of the credit policies, decision models and strategies, the candidate is expected to lead the team to drive improvement in portfolio dynamic and identify new business opportunities with a mindset of a balanced approach towards risk and reward.

This role provides exposure to multiple markets, credit risk management, cutting edge analytics and opportunity to mentor offshore/onshore high calibre analytics resources.

Role Purpose

  • Responsible to drive efficiency and effectiveness of ASP RBWM Risk’s ability to manage and deliver acquisition and portfolio management strategy analytics for key markets
  • Role requires ability to provide thought leadership with strong, cross-functional collaboration, driving proactive approach of using analytical tools and data in supporting the analytics for credit lifecycle of RBWM products
  • The incumbent should have a strong analytical background and risk management expertise to successfully manage, establish and embed best practices and tools to identify best solutions for the regions credit strategy need
  • Manage relationship with stakeholders within the Regional RBWM Risk and business teams, and with the country level risk and business teams. Proactively reaching out to build rapport and trust with the stakeholders.  Be responsive and effective in task and project management

To act as leader of a team to:

  • Initiate, develop and manage acquisitions and account management analytics / strategy development projects through use of existing scorecards, bureau data refresh, on-us information and other alternative data; undertake responsibilities from project design, data collection, analysis, summary of findings, recommendations to presentation of proposal, approvals, implementation and UAT. Thereby directly and materially influencing the right levels of profit returns that are within risk appetite for sustainable portfolio growth
  • Lead projects to simplify and automate portfolio management decisions and processes to improve speed to market
  • Work closely with Decision System teams to ensure prioritization and timeliness to execute the developed strategies
  • Review and challenge strategies and analytical solutions to ensure best solution is delivered to support business growth in a sustainable manner. Strong analytical, logical thinking, hands-on and detailed orientated mindset / approach will be needed
  • Single point of contacts, provide best practice management and ensure consistency across all various analytical projects within BAU platforms
  • Lead the onshore and offshore team to deliver analytical projects on a timely manner with good quality
  • Contribute and responsible for establishing and enhancing analytical framework to deliver sound analytical solution
  • People management covering people development, building up capability and skill set, capacity planning and training
Requisitos
  • An undergraduate or post-graduate degree in Statistics, Science, Engineering, Computing, Business Administration, Finance or a related field
  • At least 10-years of experience in credit risk management or analytics. Exposure to team management will be an added advantage
  • In-depth knowledge of Retail Lending products, e.g., Credit Cards, Mortgages, Personal Loans and Overdrafts, acquired through working in financial services industry
  • Sound exposure to acquisition and portfolio management strategies or related analytics
  • Exposure to front line credit risk / product management role will be preferred
  • Broad understanding of Basel, IFRS9, Stress Test, Loss Forecasting and scorecard development
  • Have sound inter-personal skills and ability to work closely with different stakeholders
  • Essential knowledge on SAS, VBA, SQL and data modelling
