Wholesale Technology provides technology solutions to support HSBC’s four global businesses: Commercial Banking, Global Banking and Markets, Global Private Banking, and Retail Banking and Wealth Management. 
Wholesale Technology is part of Digital Business Services (previously called HOST). Wholesale Technology Digital faces off to Commercial Banking.
Wholesale Technology Digital is a major Service Line reporting into Wholesale Technology, but servicing the Commercial Bank. Digital (sometimes called Wholesale Technology IT) is the electronic front door for HSBC’s commercial customers, and the Digital team is responsible for developing, building, and improving on the digital banking platforms that our customers use. Large commercial and global banking customers use HSBCnet and Connect to transact, while small to medium-sized commercial customers use Digital Banking platforms (DBB) and emerging solutions such as Kinetic and Quantum.

The Opportunity:

 We are looking for a full-stack engineer who is proficient with latest frontend technology like React, Nodejs and SpringBoot . The primary focusing for this role is   focusing on React applciation development for HSBCnet, SpringBoot API skill is an add-on. He/she shall ensure the overall application are robust and easy  to maintain and my sure his/her coding is with industry development best practices. He/she will have opportunities to work  with globalteam in different locations with different culture. Therefore, a  commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is important.

What you’ll do:

• Develop business system using React, NodeJS and Spring Boot
• Driving the technical issue resolution and facilitating the communication with global partner
• Being aware of optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast  array of web capable devices and  browsers
• A good team player could work along with Product Owner, BA, ITPM and PoD team members
• Able to adopt Agile/Scrum methodology in his/her daily work

• Master with ES6, ES5, Typescript, HTML5, CSS3
• Master in React, NodeJS application development or at least one of them
• Be highly experienced with React/Redux framework and component based application development 
• Or be highly experienced with NodeJS application development
• Be highly experienced in engineering development
• Fluent oral English and professional writing English ability
• Have a computing or software engineering degree. In the absence of one we expect you to show that you've taken steps to fill this gap in  your training/knowledge
• Familiar with Functional Programming/Object Oriented Programming/Functional Reactive Programming  is advantage
• Familiar with Agile/Scrum methodology is advantage-  

What additional skills will be good to have? 

• API skillsets (Sprintboot, java etc.) are add-on
