Workflow Technology Team in Operations Technology is running projects to implement workflow solutions for different business lines in MSS operations. The team aims to provide one consistent workflow orchestration tool for any non-system specific manual workflow activity for both human and robots across MSS operations by using not just the workflow product tool itself but also integrating with other latest technology like RPA, AI to improve efficiency of operations. Currently the workflow tool is serving 2K+ operation users cross locations, as part of those initiatives, we are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of senior project managers

 

 

The Opportunity:

We are looking for senior software engineering manager that has accountability for large scale end-to-end delivery of a discrete set of technology services and will have control over end-to-end technology services for one or more Products/Customer Journeys/Applications and plays a key role in defining the GB/GF Technology Strategy.

 

 

What you’ll do:

  • Works closely with Business stakeholders, Product Owners and cross functional engineering teams within the given sub-asset class to deliver business originated or engineering led projects through continuous delivery of value & improvement of products, business services and platforms
  • Has end-to-end accountability for a product or a service, identifying and developing the most appropriate Technology solutions in-line with MSS architecture principles and engineering practices, to meet the customer needs as part of the Customer Journey
  • Champions agile ways of working with empathy for continuous delivery, DevSecOps and business value – must be able to promote small, incremental, low-risk and high cadence change into production
  • Be part of Reviewing, designing and re-engineering solutions with engineering pods to improve performance, maintability and security of end product
  • Technology background is not a barrier to getting things done – Be a problem solver, able to be dropped into a situation specifically to assess reliability, proposing tactical and strategic remediation items regardless of technology, tooling or programming language
  • Has influence over developers / Analysts as well as change and product stakeholders within his/her own sub-asset class globally – while driving delivery, change or engineering initiatives
  • Emphasizes on NFRs covering service resilience, availability, performance, security, monitoring, observability and maintability while building / enhancing / supporting production services
  • Empowers the team and does not micromanage team, has clear vision and strategy for the team and his / her sub-asset class, and helps with career development of team
  • Promotes development of engineers in pod through collaboration, coaching and continuous learning
  • Liaises with other engineers, architects and business stakeholders in the asset class, to understand and drive the product or service's vision and roadmap considering big picture
  • Able to identify and deliver common engineering solutions to maintain standards and reduce costs.
  • Ensures structured training and mentoring processes in place to build high performing engineering teams
  • Collaborates and influences team culture to drive the DevSecOps mind-set, towards the vision:
  • Inclusive of others.
  • Shares and listens as well as support efforts of others.
  • Ability to motivate others to adopt change and do the right thing.

Requisitos

  • 10+ years of IT experience 
  • Proficient and has prior hands-on experience or background in technology, engineering practices and / or DevSecOps tooling
  • Experienced in owning a platform / group of services front-to-back and the set of responsibilities associated with that including managing more than one team/pod of developers.
  • Ability to break down a programme of work into manageable deliveries and drive execution in-line with programme objectives
  • Takes ownership of production – a. build solution with a mindset of supporting it all the way through to production, b. actively participate in assisting with production incidents within and outside of their scope/remit
  • Able to Support, influence and guide engineering teams in selecting right technologies, designing technology solutions and implementing necessary engineering controls: able to get buy-in from Product owners and development leads in line with Architecture Principles (Asset Class and MSS).
  • Able to build trusted relationships with the engineering teams, architects, business and lead engineers of other sub-asset classes and has a good appreciation of the business domain they work in
  • Ability to build a case or a proposal for ongoing projects or initiatives, present technology solution to wide range of stakeholders and explaining benefits to address technical debt / platform improvement

What additional skills will be good to have?

  • Experience on Agile and Devops.
  • Experience and in-depth workflow product knowledge
  • Experience and understand Securities Services Operation including Transfer Agency, Global Custody, Treasury and Member Services.
  • Great English communication skill.
