The Opportunity:
- This position plays a critical role in driving strategic transformation initiatives within the Finance function. The incumbent will lead and oversee the successful delivery of change initiatives aligned to strategic business outcomes, collaborating closely with finance leadership and cross-functional teams. The role demands a high level of program leadership, stakeholder engagement, and change management capability, with a strong focus on delivering business value in a controlled and transparent manner.
What you’ll do:
The role holder will be able to independently:
- Lead major change programs including ‘Special Projects’ within Finance, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, timely execution, and realization of business value.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to translate strategic priorities into actionable transformation roadmaps.
- Ensure governance and compliance with internal controls, risk frameworks, and external regulations.
- Develop and manage integrated delivery plans, balancing scope, time, and risk while ensuring quality outcomes.
- Foster collaboration across finance, technology, and operations to drive effective implementation.
- Engage, influence, and manage stakeholders across all levels, acting as a trusted advisor and change agent.
- Monitor and report progress on transformation efforts, proactively addressing risks and issues.
- Lead and mentor junior team members, promoting a high-performance culture and continuous development.
What you will need to succeed in the role:
- Transformation Delivery: Strong expertise in managing complex transformation initiatives across functions, preferably within financial services.
- Change Management: Proven experience in leading organizational change, driving adoption, and embedding new ways of working.
- Finance & Banking Domain Knowledge: Sound understanding of finance functions and their interdependencies within banking.
- Stakeholder Influence: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage senior executives and cross-functional teams.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to synthesize complex problems into structured solutions and deliver through pragmatic execution.
- Global Mindset: Experience in leading or participating in cross-regional initiatives, with sensitivity to cultural and market nuances.
- Team Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams, manage resources effectively, and foster collaboration.
- Outcome Orientation: Track record of delivering tangible results through structured change programs.
- Certifications (Preferred): PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, Agile (Scrum/SAFe), or equivalent program/change certifications.
What additional skills will be good to have?
- Tools & Methodologies: Skilled in project delivery tools (e.g., JIRA, Clarity, MS Project), Agile and Waterfall delivery methods, and risk/governance frameworks.
- Relationships - Build and develop relationships to ensure confidence and trust.
- Optimize schedules for delivery and migration of system support functions into Finance locations.
