We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Vice President, High-Net-Worth Underwriting. 

Principal Responsibilities

In this role you will

  • Conduct medical, financial and compliance assessment in accordance with the company’s underwriting guidelines and risk framework, adhering to delegated authority limits and service level agreements
  • Manage the referral process to ensure optimal capacity for ultra large risks, including overseeing the total exposure with reinsurers
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners to collaboratively resolve complex underwriting queries related to risk selection
  • Support the training and development of junior underwriters, including contributing to internal quality assurance audits to maintain consistent underwriting standards
  • Review and refine medical, financial and residency guidelines to ensure continued market competitiveness
  • Provides underwriting expertise and insights for new product development and broader company initiatives review
  • Identify and implement process improvement to streamline internal workflow and enhance operational efficiency
Requisitos

To be successful you will need

  • Strong underwriting experience in life, disability and critical illness insurance with specialisation in HNW
  • University Degree or equivalent professional insurance designation preferred (e.g. Academy of Life Underwriting)
  • Proven ability to manage complex cases and make sound decisions under pressure
  • Strong understanding of medical, non-medical and financial principles and practices
  • Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
