The Markets & Securities Services (MSS) division in CIB plays a critical role in facilitating access to financial markets and managing associated risks. We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Securities Services team, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets. 

Role Purpose:
The focus of this role is to supervise the overall Direct Custody Operations processes with highest possible level of service in line with the expected turnaround time and efficiency. The job incumbent is required to ensure full client satisfaction and achievement of agreed service standards.  The jobholder is also required to understand the rules and regulations relating to the local equity market and be familiar with the Group HUB Securities System and display a high level of responsibility in handling the day-to-day operational queries.

In this role, you will:
•    Manage the overall Settlements & Corporate actions with highest possible level of service inline with the expected turnaround time and efficiency
•    Drive the change in the market in line with client needs and international best practices
•    Actively contribute to product evolution by proposing ideas for improving existing products or services.
•    Ensure no operational loss due to errors. Ensure error records are maintained/ updated on a regular basis additionally analyse and control operational errors due to manual intervention.
•    Implement process improvements and system enhancements that are simple and achievable.
•    Perform process review and identify best practices. Create more capacity by increasing the efficiency and productivity.
•    Ensure accurate and timely processing of all corporate actions adhering to the internal and external cut-offs.
•    Ensure all queries from clients are answered accurately and timely.
•    Ensure all important dates are diarised and actions are taken as per the corporate events.
•    Provide timely and accurate updates on corporate events to all clients.  
•    Ensure overall Settlements functions with highest possible level of service is delivered inline with the expected turnaround time and efficiency
•    Ensure regulatory reporting are adhered to and completed within the stipulated time frame.
•    Assist Account Opening and Fee Billing team as and when it’s required.
•    Be compliant with the requirements of world Check, KYC & Blacklist checks.
•    Liaise continuously with all the issuers and ensure adequate and accurate information is received on all corporate actions.
•    Ensure timely announcements/ notifications are made to all the clients with complete data
•    Reconcile all the clients’ holdings and the receivables against the payables and ensure the entitlements are credited to the clients on the pay date
•    Liaise continuously with the depositories and ensure the entitlements are received on the pay date.

Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
•    Strong Experience in Securities Services is mandatory
•    Experience in Custody Operations is highly desirable
•    Fluent spoken and written English communication skills 
•    Mature, self-motivated and able to work independently.
•    Good presentation and analytical skills.
•    Strong influencing and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish productive relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
•    Knowledge of Finance / Custody / MIS reporting systems
•    Graduation degree is a must – to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit
