We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Actuarial Analyst.

Principal Responsibilities

In this role you will

  • Support the preparation and submission of statutory returns, financial disclosures, and other IA-mandated filings (e.g., business statistics, capital returns, solvency monitoring)
  • Ensure adherence to IFRS 17, HKRBC, GL34 and other regulatory frameworks
  • Support the Head of Regulatory Reporting in responding to queries by the regulators (e.g. IA) on reporting matters
  • Implement efficient workflows to streamline reporting processes, reducing manual effort and risk
  • Collaborate with Finance, Risk, and IT teams to align data inputs and reporting outputs
  • Maintain comprehensive process documentation and implement improvements based on lessons learned
  • Proactively identify and mitigate reporting risks
Requirements

To be successful you will need

  • Educational Background: A degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with HK insurance regulatory frameworks and financial reporting standards is a plus
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to interpret financial data and regulatory requirements. Ability to identify trends and discrepancies in data
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in preparing reports and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and present findings clearly
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools. Knowledge of L400 and GCP is plus
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, contributing to shared goals and supporting colleagues
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to approach challenges logically and develop practical solutions to ensure compliance and improve reporting processes
  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
