We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Delivery Management Specialist

In this role you will:

  • Monitor the portfolio health of Lending and coach the team to deliver world-class standards.

  • Oversee capacity alignment and recruitment

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships on a matrix and virtual basis with key champions, advocates and colleagues to enable effective execution of plans globally.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Global Businesses, Global Functions and geographies to ensure seamless delivery of global campaigns, adapting for local context and culture as required.

  • Share best practices and broaden knowledge with the global network.

  • Anticipate and identify issues that require a response and marshal team resources to deliver effective communications and engagement outcomes.

  • Personally demonstrate highest standard of HSBC’s values.

  • Support the success of meeting Lending metrics & targets, tracking and ensuring continuous improvement.

  • Ensure adherence to all set governance and policies.

  • Ensure delivery of activities within owned budget and actively find ways to standardise and streamline activities to make them more cost effective.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Overall 17+ yrs exp
  • Lean Portfolio Management experience in a large-scale environment (ideally financial services)
  • Asset and value tracking expertise; mapping capacity to demand and tracking the value delivered
  • Technology leadership with a passion for driving the business agenda
  • Extensive experience managing complex enterprise-wide business and IT portfolios within FTSE100 companies
  • Experience of using data for portfolio prioritisation recommendations, reporting, decision making and escalation
  • Facilitating team discussions and engagement to identify issues and dependencies with other delivery teams to create a portfolio view and enable effective prioritisation
  • Consultancy approach and skillset with the ability to identify and articulate complex problems and solutions
  • Commercially viable and understands external vendor commercial constructs
  • Ability to lead and influence global teams
  • Strong understanding of operational effectiveness and strong delivery drive
  • Strong people leadership, teamwork, gathering information and analyzing, judgment and decision making, communication competencies
  • Respectful of different cultures, working with colleagues from across all 5 regions (North America, LATAM, Middle East, Asia Pacific and Europe
  • Excellent experience of managing budgets and cost plans.
