We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Associate Director Service Management.

Principal Responsibilities

In this role you will

  • Report to the Head of Technology Risk and Compliance, will lead the initiation and ongoing governance of technology service deployments with a focus on external/internal outsourcing arrangements, cloud deployments, AI/ML solutions adoption and delivery of broader IT services (including third parties). All services — including those delivered intragroup from other entities within HSBC Group — are operated in accordance with Singapore regulatory requirements not limited to the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) requirements
  • Lead and manage technology service deployments from both internal intragroup IT /external providers (covering technology services, cloud, AI, SaaS, managed services) and ensure service agreements, outsourcing arrangements, and SLAs meet business, regulatory, and resilience requirements
  • Ensure compliance with MAS Technology Risk Management (TRM) guidelines, Outsourcing Notice 658, Cloud Guidelines, and other relevant regulatory frameworks and maintain an inventory of critical services and outsourcing arrangements, including oversight of approval, risk assessment, and renewal processes. Additionally, to lead or support regulatory inspections and audits related to technology service arrangements
  • Support cloud adoption, AI deployment, and other emerging tech initiatives by ensuring appropriate service governance frameworks are applied and partnership  with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance teams to validate technology risk controls
  • Work with service providers to ensure robust service continuity, incident management, and role swap/ DR failover arrangements for critical services and ensuring exit strategies and recovery plans are documented, tested, and ready for activation
  • Supports the deployment of Operational Resilience programme in Singapore and drive the activities around the annual attestation of IT Disaster exercise and testing supporting the Business Continuity guidelines
  • Act as the key liaison between Singapore and group service providers, compliance, risk, and business stakeholders
  • Facilitate communication and alignment between Singapore regulatory obligations and group-level service management practices
Requirements

To be successful you will need

  • Extensive years of working experience in technology service management, outsourcing governance, vendor management, or related functions, preferably in financial services
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore’s regulatory environment (MAS TRM Notice, MAS Outsourcing Notice, Cloud Guidelines, AI ethics frameworks)
  • Experience managing complex service ecosystems including intragroup, cloud, and third-party providers
  • Ability to navigate matrixed organizations and influence stakeholders across regions
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. ITIL, CISM, CRISC, CISSP, or cloud certifications) preferred
