We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Software Engineering Specialist.

Principal responsibilities
- Understand Group and Wholesale strategy, help define technical strategy and execute which to fulfill business needs and aspirations on growth, management and control.
- Plan for people and project management, provide coaching and guiding directly or indirectly to teams having developers, testers, analyst and architects inside by giving clear direction, feedbacks and timely suggestions to ensure a high quality standard of deliverables according to HSBC standards and best practices.
- Address existing technical debt and drive for technical evolution aka Digital Transformation for the teams by working closely with various parties including business, SMEs, Solution Architects globally.
- Establish and maintain trustworthy relationships with business and relevant stakeholders. Manage expectation of key stakeholders and work jointly to maximize interest of business and customers.
- Manage supply and demand pipeline and give guidance, direction for making decision to achieve goals, deliver products that align with business core interest.
- Conduct & lead Android design & development for WSIT DBB UK Mobile Android App.
- 5-10 years of Android experience.
- Deep experience working on a team of Android engineers building and maintaining large-scale apps, or impressive apps that you’ve built personally.
- Experience as a technical expert on the Android platform and competency with industry standard libraries.
- Experience with Android-specific location libraries is a plus.
- Experience with React-native is a plus.
- Experience building SDKs or open source libraries is desired.
- Experience for Hybrid app should better.
- Experience for handling security issues.
- Familiar with Kotlin/Java.
- Have experience in Dagger2 / Rxjava2 / Retrofit2, familiar with 3rd party lib integration, familiar with design pattern, especially MVP.
- Strong self-learning skill.
- Have android fingerprint development experience is a plus.
- Familiar with security concept and integration is a plus, like https, cert pinning, encryption and decryption, data protection and etc.
- Effective English communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Comfort and delight in a small, fast-paced startup environment.
- Experience working in an agile development environment.
