We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director

Principal responsibilities

The Associate Director role is responsible for leading in developing the most appropriate and secure Technology solutions using iterative software development/programming in line with the solution design, to meet customer needs, ensuring continuous improvement. Expectation from the role is to be able to deliver High complexity programs & driving change. This role also requires technical leadership where candidate can help to build and grow a high performing team.

Responsibility includes:

 

Plan and Control -

·       Reviewing and monitoring the progress of project adhering to agreed SLA

·       Conducting monthly meetings with all teams / customers

·       Review the project plans, resource allocation and milestones

·       Drive Complex Projects

Delivery Management

·       Perform technology leadership role

·       Should have thorough understanding of business and domain

Quality & Productivity

·       Conduct periodic review with internal quality auditor / TL, PL and monitor

                  quality procedures being followed

·       Ensure optimize utilization of resources 

·       Participate in audit to close audit points

People Management

·       Mentor / Coach people to becoming high performing teams.

·       Identify and groom High performing team and have a career plan for team members.

·       Succession Planning

·       Job Rotation

·       Identify training (technical/soft/domain) needs considering current and future projects

·       Competency Building

Communication

·       Must be able to provide expert consultancy to customers

·       Provide project status updates to management and customer.

·       Influence stakeholder to ensure successful project delivery

Compliance

·       Ensuring strict adherence to all regulatory issues and compliance of all internal controls.

·       Implement and comply with Group Compliance Policy

Should deliver considering the operational risk associated with the role.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

Mandatory Skills:

In depth technical/functional Knowledge of Core banking RPS UK ( Retail Processing System) is needed.

In depth, Detailed functional knowledge of UK banking products is MUST.

Proven Track record of delivering Key programs for UK Business

Proven track record of leading and delivering Major programs.

- Banking IT applications SME Knowledge with a sound understanding of Lending, Credit Risk, Payments, Cards, Collections & Recovery ecosystem, Business, Consumer & Regulations

Job Control Language (JCL): IN Stream & Catalogue Procedures, Control Cards, SDFS (Spool), SPICE, SAR & MVS JCL Utilities

COBOL Programs & ZO\S: Strong understanding of COBOL Programs (working storage, copy books & sub routines) and Z\OS concepts including mainframe utilities. Hands on knowledge on Restartable programs.

DB2 (SQL): Strong understanding of relational database concepts and advanced SQL, including SQL Error Codes.

CICS: All Infrastructure Setup (PCP, PIP, KCP, SCP etc.) knowledge. Hands on with writing CICS programs in linkage with Front End Systems, BMS

TSO, ISPF: Hands on Knowledge

Hands on Knowledge on REXX, EZYTRIEVE & SELCOPY

Knowledge of following tools – Endevor, File Manager, Road Runner, CLARITY, Fault Analyser, R2DS, RDz, RTC, SONAR

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Self Sufficiency/Initiative: Demonstrate self-sufficiency on the role, combined with an initiative to resolve errors and provide solutions that attack the root cause of the problem

Additional Desired Skills

Core Java

SQL Database Knowledge

Spring Boot/Spring Data JPA/J2EE/Servlets

Webservices (REST, SOAP)

Microservices working experience

Google Cloud Platform (GCP) /Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certification

Knowledge of following tools – Maven, GIT, Jenkins, Any point Studio, Spring Tool Suite (STS)
