We are currently seeking an ambitious professional to join our Institutional Client Group team as an Associate.
In this role, you will:
• Help to grow revenues across allocated portfolio of Investors (Hedge funds and Financials Sponsors) and NBFIs (Insurers, Broker Dealers and Asset Managers) successfully defending/serving existing business in addition to originating new value added revenue streams.
• Work with the Global Relationship Bankers to develop and grow profitable long-term relationships with allocated clients within the Institutional Clients Group (ICG) - in MENAT
• Support origination and execution of business across the spectrum of CIB’s products, which includes Global Markets, Global Trade Solutions, Global Payments Solutions, Securities Services. Etc
• Establish a holistic understanding of clients needs and deliver innovative high value solutions across all product lines, gaining significant business and sustainable returns for the Group.
• Help the Global Relationship Bankers to drive achievement against targets for revenue generation, product alignment, customer satisfaction and cost containment.
• Develop an understanding in client relationship management with strong risk assessment and management capabilities ensuring the required credit quality & requisite returns on risk
• Support the growth in HSBC’s share of client wallet involving product specialists to ensure product capabilities are in line with client/sector requirements.
• Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved.
• Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
• Undertake all required activities as directed by line manager or as agreed in annual objectives in support of the furtherment of the Global Banking business.
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
• Strong understanding of the needs and business models of various Investors and NBFIs.
• Managed these clients segments in a coverage or product role, or worked directly within such institutions.
• Good understanding of various banking products including Global Markets, Securities Services, and Transaction banking (Trade & Payments)
• Good relationship management skills and experience in managing clients (Investors / NBFIs/ other institutions)
• Strong analytical skills, with a strong emphasis on credit and operational risk
• Passionate about financial institutions and knowledgeable of MENAT markets
• Proven ability, with a successful record of accomplishment in operational and credit analysis of Banks and NBFIs.
• Visible and motivational leadership, ability to influence others and work within a team setup
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with a particular emphasis upon inspiring, influencing and negotiating in dealing with customers and colleagues
• Ability to effectively plan and organize, with tenacity to drive through results and meet tight deadlines
• Strong acumen in the use of MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Graduation degree is a must – to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit
