We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Associate Test Analyst

What you’ll do:

In this role, you will: 

Value Creation: 

  • Provide education to resources on the testing methodology including test approach, test policy, tools, and technique.
  • Work with testers for continuous improvement of the testing methodology.
  • Provide guidance to Project resources on applicable use of the methodology and project organization for testing.
  • Support for test-tool introduction, test planning, staff supervision, and cost and progress status reporting.
  • With good understanding of project delivery scope, timeline, and business requirements, define suitable testing approach, test strategy and test execution plan.
  • Verify the quality of requirements, define the appropriate test cases, test data/profile and environment requirements.
  • Collaborate with IT and ensure appropriate test data/profile and environment are created and set up for testing.
  • Identify and arrange any tools and devices needed in order to meet testing deliverables.
  • Keep track of testers’ test cases execution and defect management.
  • Manage and execute testing, monitor success criteria, defects, fixes, retests and resolution, tracking and reporting.

Operational Performance:

  • Identify risk, issues and any blockers that may impact the testing progress and initiate steps to mitigate the risk and remove the blockers.
  • Report and update testing status to stakeholders
  • Cover testers’ responsibility if necessary.
  • Evaluate and recommend approval of UAT test result before sending to business.
  • Be the Test SME of the responsible value stream and portfolio.
  • Issue User Acceptance Test Plan
  • Present and Issue Completion Certificate.

Capability and People Development:

  • Documents test results and ensure all test evidences are uploaded into the specified JIRA/QC/Confluence pages.
  • Prepares and circulate the UAT Completion Certificate for signoff.
  • Conduct the UAT Test Evidence Walkthrough session by presenting test outcomes/results for UAT signoff.
  • Participates and provides feedback in the project retrospective or post implementation review sessions.
  • Work with Test Leads and Test Manager for continuous improvement of testing methodology.
  • Participate in the team engagement to share best practices, lessons learned and improvement opportunities after each project completion
Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:

Requirements:

Knowledge 

  • Minimum 5 years experiences in managing and leading a testing team with end to end testing for large scale and major projects.
  • Good banking domain knowledge in Loans/Mortgage/Cards/Liabilities, Distribution channel (eg. Contact Centre, Internet Banking), Wealth products.
  • Strong experience in managing user acceptance testing, both in an Agile and Waterfall delivery environment.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in planning, testing, and defect tracking skills including using a variety of tools such as Quality Centre, JIRA, Confluence.
  • Understand application business area and application requirements, specifically in the banking environment.
  • Familiar with test-program concerns including test-data management, testing policy, risk and issue reporting and resolution, test design and test development.
  • Good knowledge of testing life cycle and proficient in working with test tools.
  • Experience in working with diverse teams of different work streams.
  • Extensive working knowledge and experience on test management and practices.
  • Skilled Business Analyst with relevant experience in the coordination of SIT and UAT for multi phased project, preferably in using Agile practise.
  • Language capabilities: Read and write in English, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese. 

Experience 

  • Overall financial services industry knowledge with specific functional expertise
  • Some experience gathering requirements, process re-engineering or conducting design activity
  • Experience of communicating effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Exposure to change implementation activity.
  • Some experience of data analysis and interpretation.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and some experience in face-to-face presentation.
  • Experience on defining and preparing the associated test data and testing profiles, creating test cases, executing the cases, capturing and verifying the test results.
  • Experience in monitoring success criteria, testing progress, defects retesting, resolution tracking and reporting.
  • Have working experience on test management tools and practices.
  • Experience of working under pressure, to fixed timescales.
  • Experience of coordinating the delivery of services from multiple internal and external teams.
