The team you’ll work with:  

 

Sitting within the Compliance function, our compliance advisory team help to ensure the business comply with all the necessary regulatory and policy requirements, through the provision of specialist guidance, assessing and mitigating risk and implementing appropriate controls. Our team act as a trusted partner to the business, taking a proactive and constructive approach to providing advice and compliance risk oversight. 

 

 

The value you’ll add:  

As a compliance advisory manager, you will support all areas of the HSBC Innovation Banking Business. Acting as a trusted partner to a varied portfolio of internal stakeholders, you’ll advise on regulatory and compliance risk, helping to reduce mitigating factors, prevent breaches, and take preventative measures as we scale and evolve our business. Not only this, you’ll also build effective relationships with external regulatory bodies to ensure we are on the front foot of any proposed regulatory changes and the potential impact they could have on the HSBC Innovation Banking business operations.  

 

 

 

 

What you can expect to be doing:   

 

Providing second line of defence challenge, advice, and oversight across the full range of products the bank offers.  

 

Providing Subject matter expertise on advice on efficacy and effectiveness of controls required to mitigate regulatory compliance risk at a local and group level 

 

Developing and leading specialist training for first line of defense (1LoD) and second line of defense (2LoD) colleagues to increase risk awareness and oversight 

 

Reviewing policies and procedures to ensure that appropriate controls and activities are fully transparent and documented. 

 

Reviewing and approving any financial promotions 

 

Supporting the continued development of the team’s processes, including regulatory and internal reporting. 

Requirements

The experience you need:  

 

Exposure across all three lines of defence, coupled with excellent stakeholder management to support alignment between risk owners, controls owners and risk stewards. 

 

Previous Compliance advisory experience at a business partnership level. 

 

A passion for and ability to advise cross functional senior stakeholders within HSBC Innovation Banking and the wider group, including internal and external audit. 

 

Hands-on experience in managing regulatory engagement and supporting regulatory change projects.
