We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

Business: Markets & Sec Services IT 

Principal responsibilities

Infrastructure Automation and Configuration Management

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline the deployment and configuration of infrastructure components.
  • Implement infrastructure as code principles to ensure consistency, reliability and scalability across environments.

Capacity planning and Performance Optimisations

  • Analyse system performance metrics and trends to identify potentials bottlenecks and scalability limitations.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to optimise systems performance and resource utilisation through capacity planning and performance tuning.

Reliability Engineering Best Practice

  • Adhere to reliability best practices and methodologies within the organisation.
  • Drive initiatives to improve system reliability, fault tolerance and disaster recovery capabilities. 

Cross Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Software Engineers, Devops engineers, other stakeholders to define and implement reliability requirements for new and existing services.
  • Participate in design and code reviews and incident post-mortems to ensure continuous improvement and learning.
Requirements
  • 8+ Years Development Experience in IT development.
  • Knowledge and experience in Agile and DevOps development practices
  • Hands on experience of CICD pipeline design and implementation for on-prem and cloud environment
  • Hands on experience of test automation design and implementation for front end and back-end components
  • Strong proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Unix shell or PowerShell.
  • Solid experience of cloud computing platforms (GCP) including Cloud SQL/GKE/GCE is a must
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana and ELF stack or similar
  • Self-motivated and willing to learn new technologies and business domain.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross functional teams located remotely.

 

Essential technical skills

  • Python, Java, Jenkins, Ansible, Git, Python, Shell, Groovy, terraform, Helm, Docker/k8s, Terraform
  • Application monitoring and test automation best practice and tools(Grafana/influx/Prometheus)
  • Working with API and micro service technologies(Spring family)
  • Databases (PostgreSQL)
  • Cloud technologies: (GCP)

What additional skills will be good to have?

  • Background in financial mathematics / Computer Science Background.
  • Experienced in application hybrid deployment(on-prem/on-cloud).
  • SRE/RHEL/GCP solution architect certified.
  • Fluent English oral communication.
