We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

Principal responsibilities

  • Responsible on QA deliveries, and manage the associated stakeholder communication.
  • Liaising with product owner and developers for clarifying on stories, acceptance criteria and testing scope (including various testing activities, e.g. functional testing, performance testing, security testing, accessibility testing, etc).
  • Prepare testing schedule and related testing activities while identifying and resolving all potential risks and issues.
  • Participate in project workshop to generate testing approach and perform risk assessment, cooperate with other roles in the team to define the work flow, process of path to live, and practice to achieve build-in quality goal.
  • Coordinate with various participants and teams to prepare test scenarios, data set-ups and test environments, as well as manage the defect and other testing assets.
  • Suggest best practices across the SDLC/STLC and assist in implementing them along with standards.
  • Communicate with the relevant stakeholder regarding resolving technical issues related to delivery of projects.
  • Gather data/metrics and observations to identify obstacles/issues and drive for improvement.
  • Drive the near-term optimization as well as the long term strategy for supporting the continuously quality improvement.
  • R&D on emerging testing approach and facilitate training/implementation cross internal teams
  • As the quality lead to support multiple agile pods on deliver good quality product. Evaluate vendor solutions and adopt the market-leading solutions into organization base on internal needs
  • Identify the room of improvement in terms of QA process and technical solution, and drive the implementation.
  • Optimize testing approach and make test automation be best utilized to achieve test efficiency and being the gate keeper on CI/CD pipeline.
  • Representing QA discipline on product go-line decision making, production issue analysis, way of working optimization.
  • Research and investigate in the new testing methodology from market.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years on test management hand-on experience. 
  • Have a good understanding of the test process and testing knowledge.
  • Effective communication skills in spoken and written English.
  • Good planning skills and quick response for the change
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, able to work independently, proactively and under pressure against multiple deadlines.
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated with excellent time management skills and strong initiative
  • Experienced in software development more than 3 years is an advantage.
  • Experienced in Agile project delivery.
  • Experience of designing automation tests using BDD/TDD (e.g. Cucumber/JBehave or similar)
  • A solid understanding of modern testing methodologies and strategies (TDD/BDD/risk based testing)
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience on wide testing domain: test automation, performance testing, accessibility test, security test, exploratory testing.
  • Demonstrate continuous leaning habit or culture
  • Solid understanding and real working experience on Agile methodology and way of working.
  • Testing experience / development working experience on mobile application will be a plus, e.g. (Android, iOS).
  • Good to have knowledge in Cloud testing.
  • Good to have knowledge in Financial / banking domain.
