We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.
Business: CTO Data Technology
Principal responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and consultation to development team members with guidance of department principles. Lead teams or projects of high complexity. Initiates and conducts feasibility studies of new and modified business requirement.
- Provide technical analysis and solutions to business issues, provides consultation, researches and implements technical alternatives, and maintains awareness of business technology strategies.
- Ensure compliance, operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC or regulatory standards and policies; and optimize relations with regulators by addressing any issues.
- Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
- Provides daily global production service quality, problem and recovery management, and platform availability, facilitating changes and identifying risks.
- Manage large or critical projects as assigned to ensure objectives are met on time and within cost while continuing to utilize technical expertise. Assist in defining and delivering global and strategic technical projects. Identify and address interfacing functions and applications affected by projects.
- Proven and progressive experience, including project management skill is required.
- Programming Language - Python, Java, UNIX/Linux/shell scripting
- Technology - Kubernetes, ReactJS, Apache Drill, DevOps Tools such as Jenkins, Ansible and related CI/CD technologiesDatabase
- PostgreSQL (or equivalent)
- Development Management Tools - Agile Toolsets e.g. Confluence / Jira / GitH
- BI Tool experience - Tableau / Superset / AG Grid
