We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Control Manager - IRR - PROJECT MAGNUS.

Principal responsibilities

  • Arrange meetings with report makers (and other stakeholders) to gain an understanding of the regulatory reporting process.
  • Document minutes and actions from meetings with report makers (and other stakeholders)
  • Review the evidence to support the existing controls.
  • Assess the gap between the existing controls and the Magnus control outcomes.
  • Document the control gap and proposed remediation steps required to close the gap.
  • Obtain sign-off from the report maker on the accuracy of the control assessment.
  • Assist in maintaining updated project records of the control assessment status against the inventory of regulatory reports.
  • Assist in preparing slides for the Magnus Steering Committee as a status update.
  • Provide support and back up to other team members involved in the control assessments.

  • Report Owners.
  • Report Makers.
  • Risk Stewards.
  • Magnus Project Steering Committee members.
  • Second line of defence assurance team.
    Requirements
    • 5+ years in financial services industry, preferably with HSBC.
    • Basic knowledge of banking products e.g. mortgages, deposits, business loans, credit cards etc.
    • Basic knowledge of the HSBC Risk Management Framework (or similar from other companies).
    • Basic knowledge of the HSBC Data Policy (or similar from other companies).
    • Testing key controls that support financial or regulatory reporting processes.
    • Documenting controls to succinctly articulate how controls are performed.
    • Basic knowledge of the control library in Helios.

    Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.

    Due to the urgent hiring need, candidates with immediate right to work locally and no relocation need will be prioritised.
