We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist.

In this role, you will:

  • Be keeping track of budget and schedule throughout the project lifecycle
  • Be identifying risks and escalating issues on time, to the right stakeholders and mitigating those
  • Defect management towards closure
  • Be identifying crisis situations during project lifecycle and handling favourably for the project
  • Own the project issues and ensure its resolution by engaging appropriate teams
  • Be participating in review over key project documents like Initial Request, Clear-choices, Solution Proposal, Test Strategy, Implementation plan etc.
  • Be able challenge estimates from all IT stakeholders and coming up with project plan for project delivery
  • Drive the estimations for project implementation and plan/manage resources effectively
  • Identify and engage all necessary stakeholders for the project
  • Be owning and preparing key project documents like TOR / Project Charter, Project plan, Test Strategy, Implementation Plan and Post Implementation Report (PIR) etc.
  • Timely project status/performance reporting and escalations, as required
  • Identify and manage all changes over projects as per agreed change control process
  • Ensure compliance to HSBC process, procedures and controls
  • Play key role in project and resource prioritization along with IT and Business stakeholders
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • At least 10-12 years experience in IT
  • Proven track record of IT delivery across medium, large and complex data management, data migration, data infrastructure projects
  • Thorough understanding Data Environment, Infrastructure and Data Architecture patterns
  • Strong experience with Teradata, Data Stage and Cognos environments
  • Well versed with data systems migration from On-Prem to Cloud
  • Co-ordination of activities across multiple IT teams in multiple locations and time zones
  • Proven practical experience of entire project lifecycle (SDLC/Waterfall and Agile/Scrum with DevOps knowledge)
  • Strong understanding of stakeholder management, within Business and IT
  • Strong risk & issue management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience on project Management tools – eg. Clarity, Mercury Quality Center, JIRA, Confluence, RTC etc
  • Strong Negotiation Skills
  • Strong understanding of Project Management processes
