We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Data and Management Information Lead – Non Financial Risk.

Principal responsibilities

  • Develop and drive a data strategy for Markets and Securities Services Non-Financial Risk data
  • Work with senior stakeholders to define requirements for MI and reporting and identify innovative solutions
  • Centralize, manage and automate the analysis of large data sets for reporting in a number of Non-Financial Risk governance forums across the Markets and Securities Services business globally
  • Enhance the visualization of Markets and Securities Services Non-Financial Risk data for senior management review across the Markets and Securities Services business
  • Drive the automation of pack production to drive efficiency and a focus on value add analysis and commentary for management
  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvement in data sourcing and data output to ensure risks, controls, issues and actions are understood and reported in an effective manner for senior management review and action. 
  • Identifying trends in the data providing accurate executive summaries of large data
  • Ensure all queries from stakeholders are dealt with in a complete and timely fashion. Support other specific tasks or projects related to Governance Packs or other initiatives within the team
Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in related field such as business or finance; Advanced Excel and other MS Office tools, VBA and MS Access Database skills.
  • Data visualization /analytical tools like Qliksense Dashbords, Tableau
  • Programming skills e.g Python
  • Data Extraction and Transformation – including data collection, cleansing, and preparation for analysis.
  • Business Intelligence: Using tools and techniques for data analysis to acquire knowledge and guide business decisions
  • Good understanding of Risk and Control framework and the operational aspects underpinning Control processes
  • Previous experience in implementing process improvements.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize a number of deliverables across several workstreams
  • Proven organizational, planning, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and team building skills.
  • Good understanding of Investment Banking products and functions.
  • Appreciation of financial industry and key regulation on the financial markets practices.
  • Existing network across HSBC and across the lines of defence
