We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Onshore Private Banking team as an Investment Counsellor and be responsible for the positioning and delivery of investment solutions to Private Banking clients and in the context of an Advisory relationship.
The working location for this position is HSBC Tower, Dubai, UAE.
In this role, you will:
• Partner with Relationship Managers to offer appropriate investment solutions to clients.
• Develop comprehensive investment strategy and asset allocation proposal as appropriate. Implement the defined investment strategy with appropriate products and services, collaborate with IWS and other HSBC entities if needed to design the best investment solution.
• Update clients of the markets and portfolio evolution as well as Bank’s investment ideas. Review the investment strategy on a regular basis to adjust portfolios to market conditions.
• Guide relationship managers to be more productive in their role.
• Help in delivering a consistent and tailored wealth management service to our most valuable Private Banking clients.
• Drive commercialization of new initiatives & product launches by helping RMs identify client segments and their needs.
• Support in developing long-term, in-depth client relationships with clients.
• Ensure opportunities are identified and client needs are met effectively, maximising all available resources.
• Comply with the relevant Group standards and the Regulatory organization as applied to the implementation of the WPB strategy in their country.
• Support in Portfolio income & Wealth penetration based on local requirements.
Requirements
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements: -
• Relevant experience in wealth management and investment advisory preferably in the UAE.
• Equivalent relationship management experience in managing high net worth client portfolios preferred.
• Expert knowledge in financial planning and wealth products.
• Sound knowledge of the impact of macroeconomics/microeconomics/local market developments.
• Expert knowledge of external regulatory framework relevant to wealth management.
• Knowledge of retail wealth capabilities alongside private banking business (onshore and offshore), and competitive and regulatory environment.
• Client-focused, with strong sales, analytic, technical, teamwork and relationship building skills
• Strong negotiation, complex problem resolution, communication and presentation (written and oral) skills.
• Local regulatory & license requirements - job holder should possess valid licenses with accreditation on wealth management and qualification as required by country.
• Able to communicate well in English and Arabic is preferred.
• CFA certification required.
• Graduation degree is required to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit.
