The Engagement Advisor supports International, Wealth and Premier Banking and Private Banking shaping the experience of our people. In this role, you’ll lead internal and partner on external communications, drive emerging talent initiatives, and support the delivery of impactful people engagement strategies. Working closely with key stakeholders, you’ll play a critical part in building a connected, inclusive, and high-performing culture, making a lasting impact across the organization.
As our Engagement Advisor, you can expect to play a dynamic and influential role at the heart of our people and culture strategy. You’ll lead and support both internal and external communications initiatives that bring our values to life and enhance organizational visibility. A key part of your work will involve partnering with stakeholders across departments to shape and deliver our emerging talent programs—creating pathways for early-career professionals and future leaders. You’ll also contribute to the design and execution of people engagement strategies that build connection, strengthen culture, and foster an inclusive and high-performing environment. Whether you’re crafting communications or plans, or gathering feedback to inform future programs, you’ll be instrumental in driving meaningful engagement and delivering a consistent employee experience across the organization.

As our Engagement Advisor you will:
- You will drive and execute transformational communications aligned with the US IWPB & GPB strategy to enhance employee engagement, support our culture strategy, and promote an international, wealth and international mindset
- You will uphold HSBC values and strengthen the business reputation by delivering an innovative and integrated communications strategy aligned with the International Wealth and Premier Banking (IWPB) and Private Banking (PB) framework
- You will ensure effective communication of organizational transformation initiatives and programs to broader audiences, including employees and stakeholders
- You will support communication efforts in achieving program vision, objectives, and key results, focusing on alignment with IWPB & PB ambition
- You will collaborate with Marketing and Communications teams to ensure that the employee communications plan drives customer centricity, people engagement, and aligns with US IWPB strategy
- You will plan, edit, and write content for various internal communications
- You will manage internal communication responses to crisis situations affecting organizational perception and reputation
- You will partner with the Global and US communications team for an integrated external and internal communications effort
- You will facilitate dialogue through internal forums to research content, assess employee engagement, and identify opportunities to strengthen communication strategy
- You will maintain regular engagement with and advise senior executives on developments throughout the organization
- You will execute the communications plan in the local market, building and protecting HSBC's reputation using insights from internal and external measurements to drive discussions and communications planning
- You will create adaptable and engaging content while acting as a local representative of the communications function
- You will understand stakeholder requirements, research relevant areas for content production, write drafts, proofread, and meet project deadlines
- You will lead the Emerging Talent program, partnering with HR to enhance the program
- You will perform other tasks as assigned by the line manager
For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $141,300 and $190,000.
The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:
- BA degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related field preferred
- 5-7 years of experience in a public relations capacity, preferably with an agency background or in an advisory/consultancy role
- Strong experience in public relations writing and pitching
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong creative writing, editing, and pitching skills
- Proven ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality
- Proven ability to connect activity and impact with data
- Experience in Agile transformation and organizational change is helpful
