We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Lead Architect.

In this role, you will

• Be integral in understanding our application estate and associated data, modelling this data to help provide timely insights, using automated techniques and AI
• Be responsible for managing the application portfolio through its life cycle and assisting to simplifying our estate, removing cost and risk
• Working in collaboration with the digital business, product owners and architects, you will undertake impact assessment, understanding requirements, defining target state architectures and strategic roadmaps
• Collaborating with various Agile teams validating the impacts, technology assumptions, risks & technical debt. Elaborating the solution at various levels, evaluating implementation options and recommendations 
• Ensuring the design of the solutions are cost effective and maintained through the agile development lifecycle, managing the flow of the backlog of design activities.
• Support the architectural governance processes, reviewing the architecture according to governance standards and processes ensuring adherence to solution architecture policy, promoting re-use and reduction of technical debt.
• Management of stakeholders, Investments, technology and risks for the Value Stream

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Ability to understand decision dashboarding requirements, being able to articulate the data required, analyse the quality and to model this using visual modelling tools.
• Experience in automation of data extract and load processes, being able to apply AI concepts, design and modelling would be greatly beneficial
• Experience to developing visual dashboards using Google Looker Studio, Big Query, Power Pivot, Apprunner, BigQuery and Visual Paradigm
• Ability to translate business requirements into the high level cross-cutting architectures. Understanding the impacts, optionality and ensuring the products and services meet the expected business outcomes
• Ability to breakdown non-functional requirements into cloud, infrastructure, integration, security and data domains
• Ability to collaborate with the business, technology teams and engineers to ensure solutions adhere to principles and direction set
• Strategic thinker and driving key architectural decisions, considering relevant risks, long term implications, commercial realities and stakeholders' needs
• Excellent communication skills and the capability to adapt verbal and written communications to the appropriate audience to communicate at the right level depending on audience
• Good experience of technical and business stakeholder management across all levels
• Good understanding of the Retail Banking Business Functional Domains (at least one function end to end)
• Strong experience in digital technologies (e.g. Mobile, Browser, Customer Security)
