We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Finance NFR – Group Framework Assistant Vice President
Principal responsibilities
- Drive NFR governance best practice within Finance, providing the information to support the key governance meetings.
- Facilitate embedding Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) capability, drive sustainable control environment across the global Finance function.
- Support Finance function adhere with HSBC Risk & Control Principles, Policies, Procedures and Operating Instructions.
- Drive the development and implementation of future-fit risk management frameworks, in collaboration with Risk Stewards and taking regulatory requirements into account.
- Represent Finance across various ERM enhancement forums to review, assess the impact of updates to policies, procedures, risk taxonomy and control library on Finance & provide approval or raise challenges on behalf of Finance.
- Attend and actively engage (including coordinating the team to attend and engage) in the ERM WG and ask the questions required to fully understand the change which gives the earliest opportunity to consider impact on the function.
- Issue weekly update packs to the Head of Finance NFR and management team on the status of Finance engagement across the ERM WGs, summarizing the proposals and Finance status of engagement to support management in making informed endorsement decisions.
- Coordinate and run the monthly NFR connects with the wider Finance NFR community. Be the senior relationship contact for Finance NFR globally on NFR matters pertaining to CPGOF, NFR and RTCL.
- Support Risk Owner through proactive advice based on risk and control knowledge and insights and present risk management solutions where appropriate
- CA/MBA/B. Com: At least 6/7 years of relevant post qualification experience in a leading accounting firm / financial services sector.
- Strong NFR background and experience in a Financial Services environment.
- Experience with leading and guiding on risk and control assessments.
- Exceptional drive, commitment and focus on operational excellence.
- Experience in, and understanding of, managing, overseeing, and applying controls across a Finance function, including those underpinning SOX and Operational Risk frameworks.
- Committed to continuous improvement, self-motivated, confident, creative, and capable of working effectively autonomously as well as part of a team.
- Prior experience of designing and implementing new controls and processes.
- Prior experience of producing management reporting.
