The Senior Manager, First Line Assurance Insights plays a critical role in strengthening the assurance function within the first line by uncovering insights, detecting anomalies and improving assurance efficiency. The role is responsible for assisting the Head of First Line Assurance in developing and implementing insights to support assurance activities across IWPB, ensuring adequate and high-quality controls are in place and working effectively as well as compliance to the local Regulatory Landscape in which IWPB operate.

Responsibilities:

  • Primarily support’s the Head of First Line Assurance, Senior Manager and Managers to provide data driven assurance support that drives informed decisions and supports in enhancing the controls across the IWPB Business.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify data insight needs and create analytics that support business needs and objectives.
  • Support the Head of First Line Assurance in the design and implementation of controls assurance program.
  • Escalate any concerns about process and control effectiveness to line manager promptly.
  • Develops dashboards, scripts and tools to support continuous assurance and risk assessments.
  • Identify anomalies, patterns, trends and risks through data mining and analysis.
  • Present data insights through visualisation tools in a clear manner taking into account different audiences and stakeholders ie. Technical and non-technical Audiences.
  • Develop assurance insights frameworks and best practices for the assurance team in line with the Assurance methodology and sampling approach.
  • Integrate insights and analytics into the end-to-end assurance lifecycle.
  • Advanced communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • This role also supports the broader IWPB Business Risk Leadership Team to conduct data related insights on a need’s basis across the Risk,
  • Governance, Regulatory and Customer Fairness and Conduct functions on a needs basis.
Requirements

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of control frameworks across non-financial risk.
  • Experience with data analytics tools including experience in presenting data visualization a mandatory requirement.
  • Strong Analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to work independently and part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate complex issues for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to identify risks and weaknesses in risk and control design and operating environments.


Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
