HSBC is the largest Trade and Receivable Finance organization in the world, offering comprehensive, forward-thinking open account and traditional trade solutions across HSBC customers.
The GTS (Global Trade Solution) Business Management Europe organization is responsible for:
• Design of GTS strategy and execution across Sales, Services, Product & Propositions, Digital, Risk & Portfolio Management and Distribution
• Overseeing relevant activities such as performance management, implementation of key business initiatives and data analytics.
• Managing key governance forums (e.g. GTS Management Meeting, Sales Forum) and organizational design aspects (e.g. blueprints, performance scorecards).
• Coordinating GTS communication about GTS in key internal and external forums
• Engaging with Global Businesses and Global Functions to ensure a coordinated approach and alignment to Group objectives
The analytics-focused staff in Business Management will be responsible for driving positive outcomes in the above areas by providing insightful, accurate and comprehensive data (e.g. on business performance and volumes; key trends) in response to both recurring and ad-hoc requirements.
What you’ll do
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Drive the analytics agenda for GTS, constantly expanding the range of fields in which analytical insight adds value to decision-making.
• Work with the Regional head of BM to establish a centre of excellence in analytics and move away from data/MI provider.
• Supporting Sales performance management, Digital, Client Experience to providing informed and independent data-driven expertise and insight.
• Develop dashboards using different technologies (e.g. excel, data visualisation etc.).
• Delivering fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets.
• Leading and encouraging constructive cross-country and cross-business teamwork by demonstrating collaboration and matrix management in action and taking prompt action to address any activities and behaviours that are not consistent with HSBC's diversity policy and/or the best interests of the business and its customers.
What you need to have to succeed in this role
Must have:
• University degree in business or related discipline, with experience in portfolio management or in a financial services industry.
• Experience in SAS or Python, Excel, Qlicksense and/or other business intelligence tool development.
• Ability to deliver high quality reports, presentations and communications to Senior Stakeholders under strict deadlines.
• Experience in solving business problems with data driven insights.
• Ability to influence and facilitate strong collaboration across business areas.
Good to have:
• Knowledge and understanding of the Global Trade Solutions business and broader construct of HSBC’s Global Businesses a positive. Experience in Business Management, COO Office or Strategy roles a positive.
