The Cybersecurity Technology and Engineering (CTE) Service Delivery team operates business requestable services across a globally dispersed team, which support Cybersecurity’s Network Security, Data Protection, Cryptography, Infrastructure and Endpoint Security capabilities.

The Head of Service Delivery - Structured Data Protection role-holder is charged with protecting the HSBC brand, shareholder value, information, and financial assets, across the globe.

What you’ll do
    • Lead a team of Subject Matter Experts to deliver business requestable services supporting structured Data Protection capabilities. This includes conducting in-depth reviews of security documentation to identify potential gaps in security controls and working with system owners and other stakeholders to develop and implement remediation plans for identified security deficiencies.
    • Support the Business to successfully deliver divestments and acquisitions, act as a source of expertise on data security issues and help the Business navigate through Cyber effectively.
    • Work closely with the CTE capability owners to ensure that business requestable services supporting their capabilities meet the capability requirements.
    • Sett, monitor and report on performance and quality standards against business requestable services under the responsibility of the role.
    • Support the delivery of the CTE operating strategy.
    • Drive engagement with all relevant regional and global stakeholders (Cybersecurity colleagues across Strategy and Architecture, Security Shared Services, Security Engineering and business and IT Functions).
    • Work closely with the Business as the 1LOD function and understand strategy while maintaining visibility of their IT security risk profile, exposures and control effectiveness and to provide robust challenge to the same audience when information security risk appetites are breached.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant security frameworks, standards, and best practices.

What you need to have to succeed in this role
    • Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience of data anonymization techniques including masking, tokenization, grouping, k-anonymization and redaction.
    • Experience with anonymization tools such as Privitar, Delphix and CA TDM.
    • Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience of common cybersecurity technologies such as; IDS/ IPS/ HIPS, Advanced Anti-malware prevention and analysis, Firewalls, Proxies, MSS, etc.
    • Strong knowledge of 3rd party cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure and Google.
    • Strong knowledge of cryptographic key management and associated solutions.
    • Knowledge of common enterprise technology infrastructure, platforms, middleware, databases, applications, and tooling, including Windows, Linux, infrastructure management and networking hardware.
    • Understanding of security concepts, including access control, cryptography, and network security.
    • Comprehensive understanding of security in context of wider industry trends and direction.
