The Platform & Regulatory Oversight Manager role forms part of the Product Management & Governance team within Wealth & Premier Solutions UK (“WPS UK”). WPS UK itself forms part of Wealth & Personal Banking within the UK business line of HSBC.

The Product Management & Governance team provide full lifecycle product management for wealth & investment products and services across the client continuum, from mass retail through to Premier and Private Bank segments.

The Platform & Regulatory Oversight Manager role provides ongoing management and oversight of a wider range of regulatory and product related matters and provides ongoing support to the Senior Platform & Regulatory Oversight Manager in this regard. This includes, but is not limited to, regulatory change and development activity, oversight of regulatory policies, processes and procedures whether they be with direct team or the broader WPS UK function and management and oversight of risk & controls.

What you’ll do
    • Manage through oversight, maintenance of associated regulatory development frameworks and a continued close alignment with Regulatory Compliance colleagues for ongoing assessment and implementation of regulatory development activity across WPS UK.
    • Manage of activities required to meet regulatory obligations, such as CASS Liens and MiFID Costs & Charges Ex Ante production, Failed Trade Oversight Framework, Sanctions Management, Best Execution and others.
    • Provide oversight and maintain robust control frameworks under which Product Management & Governance team perform activities linked to material risks.
    • Manage of continuous monitoring of these controls, assessing their ongoing effectiveness, working with colleagues to address any weaknesses and tracking against agreed action plans, acting as Control Delegate at necessary fora.
    • Support in defining and providing oversight in respect of outcomes management across WPS UK.
    • Provide ongoing support to WPS UK in understanding how to apply the outcomes management framework to new or existing products and services, including defining good outcomes and identifying appropriate and relevant metrics to validate the outcomes being experienced by consumers including in how they consider vulnerabilities, specific to their product, not just understanding the vulnerability itself.
    • Provide assurance activity through monitoring of framework through established Controls.
    • Manage production of governance submissions both within WPS UK and beyond, as it relations to the Product Management & Governances overall responsibilities.

    • Knowledge and understanding of HSBC internal policies and procedures, specifically in relation to the Risk Management Framework.
