What you’ll do
    • Lead large-scale payments Programme (typically US$10m+), owning delivery from initiation through to implementation and benefits realization.
    • Provide strong leadership across cross-functional teams including Technology, Operations, Business, Product, and Partner/Vendor teams, ensuring clear ownership, alignment, and delivery cadence.

    • Ensure solutions align to payments functional architecture and target-state design principles, including integration patterns and platform strategy.
    • Partner closely with engineering and architecture teams to guide delivery across modern payment technology stacks, including microservices and multi-tier architectural frameworks.
    • Support delivery and adoption of payment message standards, with strong working knowledge of MT and MX formats (e.g., SWIFT MT and ISO 20022 MX).
    • Manage stakeholder expectations proactively, balancing scope, time, cost, risk, and quality while maintaining strong control of change.
    • Ensure delivery meets operational readiness requirements, including controls, resilience, support model, and handover to BAU.

What you need to have to succeed in this role
    • Very strong understanding of payments functional architecture and how it applies within a large banking environment.
    • Proven Programme management experience delivering complex initiatives with budgets exceeding US$10m.
    • Strong understanding of payment technology stacks in large banks, including microservices and multi-tier architectural frameworks.
    • Demonstrable experience leading Programme in Collections and/or Digital Merchant Services, working across multiple stakeholder groups (Tech, Ops, Business, Product, and Partners).
    • Strong understanding of MT and MX message formats and their practical implications for delivery, testing, and migration.
    • Strong grasp of Programme governance fundamentals and project financial management (budgeting, forecasting, benefits, and controls).
    • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to drive decisions across senior stakeholders and diverse teams.
    • Strong delivery discipline: structured planning, risk management, dependency management, and execution focus.
