Your career opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join Content Publishing and Personalisation (AEM Components & Templates) Team as a Test Automation Engineer. You will be a key contributor embedded with in an Agile cross functional team, which driving innovation, delivering HSBC products and utilises maximum automation. You will help to drive the continuous improvement of our processes, tooling and engineering practices.

What you’ll do
    • Work with both your team and other cross functional teams to plan and execute tests using the latest UI test automation technologies, processes and Tools to deliver frequently, safely and efficiently for millions of HSBC customers.
    • Design and maintaining automation script suites of delivered functionalities. Create new/develop existing test automation tools.
    • Perform system, integration and acceptance tests.
    • Test applications embedded on the AEM platform (Adobe Experience Manager).
    • Document test results by raising defect tickets and creating reports.
    • Work closely, communicate and plan with BA, PO, APM and DEV.
    • Ensure that delivered functionalities are covered by automated tests on a proper level.
    • Participate in engineering discipline, best practice and standards compliance within HSBC and global IT. Support other testers in the team.
    • Contribute to the improvements of the testing process and automation frameworks as part of the wider QA & Test Community.

What you need to have to succeed in this role
    • Proficiency in clearly determine QA objectives and standards by analysing requirements.
    • Broad experience of testing types, including unit, functional, non-functional, regression, exploratory, UAT, ad-hoc and compatibility testing.
    • Knowledge what constitutes useful automation and how to write it.
    • Working experience of Agile methodologies.
    • Strong expertise in test automation framework (Playwright / Selenium).
    • Strong analytical and debugging skills.
    • Good understanding of using an object orientated programming language.
    • Working experience with JavaScript/TypeScript. Experience with Visual Studio Code, Jenkins, GitHub. Git flow understanding.
    • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Nice to have
    • Experience of using AEM (Adobe Experience Manager).
    • Working experience with Java.
    • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
    • Basic knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure platforms.
    • Understanding of testing microservices.
    • Exposure to Accessibility Testing.

What we offer
The pay range for this role is 17 484 PLN - 26 225 PLN (monthly, gross).

Variable pay is discretionary, but influenced by Group performance, business/function performance and individual performance.
