Join Treasury Risk Management in the Second Line of Defence (SLoD) as a Treasury Risk Governance and Execution Manager, supporting the Global Pension Risk Steward and 8 Regional Risk Stewards. You’ll run end-to-end governance across global and regional pension risk forums, produce senior-ready packs and dashboards, and drive delivery of actions, risk mapping/risk appetite submissions, and policy governance to strengthen oversight of HSBC’s corporate pension risks worldwide.

What you’ll do
Provide support to the Global Pension Risk Steward and 8 Regional Risk Stewards in all aspects of governance and oversight of HSBC’s corporate pension plans globally to include:
    • Secretariat to Pension Risk Management Meetings (Global, International, UK, Europe, Asia Pacific) – supporting the regional risk steward on scheduling and managing attendees, preparation of agendas, co-ordinating papers for submission, ownership of Terms of Reference and Effectiveness reviews, and producing materials including annual plans, conflicts of interest registers, regular dashboards, preparation of meeting packs and maintaining minutes;
    • Assessing globally top and emerging pension risks and preparing Global rating and commentary for submission on the Pension Risk Maps and Pension Risk Appetite Statements monthly or quarterly or as appropriate;
    • Owning the pension risk policy governance process, including ensuring alignment with risk management framework, carrying out annual policy updates, reviews of FLoD pension procedures, annual compliance materiality assessments and implementation of dispensation requests;
    • Leading annual review of the pension risk appetite statements, acting as primary liaison with FLOD, overseeing cascade to Regional Risk Stewards, monitoring for breaches and escalating where appropriate;
    • Carrying out pension risk governance activities, including preparation of regular global pension risk strategy updates for governance committees and regional cascade, quarterly Helios checks and reporting, review of external pension risk disclosures, Internal Audit liaison and tracking and managing Pension Risk Sharepoint/Teams channel; 
    • Primary contact and lead on the provision of input to and implementation of global risk stewardship related initiatives and projects which impact Pension Risk (e.g. RMF simplification, Creo, IRR, RCA coordination, ELC assessment, climate risk materiality assessment); 
    • Coordinating information for the Regional Risk Stewards on pension regulatory changes impacting Group, the key regions and globally, especially with regards to accounting and economic capital.  This includes managing engagement with external provider of monthly regulatory updates and managing Rapid2 updates;
    • Supporting the Global Pension Risk Steward in maintaining relationships with FLoD, wider Treasury Risk, Group ServCo and other stakeholders.

What you need to have to succeed in this role
    • Strong governance and delivery discipline: ability to run end-to-end committee governance (planning, papers, minutes, ToR/effectiveness reviews) and keep actions moving across global and regional forums.
    • Clear, senior-ready communication: produce concise updates, dashboards and meeting packs, and translate complex topics into practical messages for committees and regional cascades.
    • Sound risk and policy mindset: identify and articulate top and emerging pension risks, support risk mapping and risk appetite processes, and manage policy/procedure governance and compliance assessments.
    • Stakeholder leadership and coordination: work confidently across regions and functions (including Treasury Risk, FLoD, Internal Audit and external providers) to align priorities, manage regulatory updates, and maintain strong oversight and controls.

Nice to have
    • Pension risk knowledge: understanding of corporate pension plan risks (e.g., investment/market risks including interest-rate sensitivity and inflation; longevity risks; pension accounting (IAS19) and funding considerations; and regulatory impacts) and how they show up in governance, risk maps, risk appetite statements and decision-making.

What we offer
The pay range for this role is 21 142 PLN - 31 708 PLN (monthly, gross).
Additional car allowance in the amount of 4786 PLN (monthly, gross).

Variable pay is discretionary, but influenced by Group performance, business/function performance and individual performance.
