Private Banking and Trust Services - Private Banking Department

Hang Seng's Private Banking provides services for people who have successfully built their asset base and now want to place their wealth in the hands of experts who know how to nurture it.

Our banking services and products are bespoke, ranging from tailored investment advice and capital solutions to holistic health and personal protection and trustee services. Our team offers professional wealth management advice at both a local level and on a global scale.

Should you join our Private Banking business, you will focus on building close relationship with our high-net-worth customers, providing professional advice and premium service to them and contribute to the profitability of the Bank.

 We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Head of Business Risk Management.



Principal responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise a team to maintain a robust business risk and control framework to enable oversight, control and monitoring for Private Banking and Trustee.
  • Assist the Control Owner in all non-financial risk, regulatory, audit and assurance review related matters.
  • Implement policies and control procedures to ensure the business activities (incl sales quality of I&I, FCR/I&I/FATCA/CRS compliance, information security) are complied with regulatory and Group requirements.
  • Promote staff knowledge and awareness on compliance and conduct culture within the business.
  • Manage projects, initiatives or programmes. May include defining the project approach, building stakeholder buy-in around plans, commitments and changes
  • Manage and embed change initiatives, identifying and developing new or improved delivery mechanisms
  • Manage workflow and operational processes, management of people resources and efficient budget deployment
  • Act as escalation point for complex issues
  • Understand functional risks in own functional area and monitor team adherence to policies 
     
Requirements
  • University graduate in related discipline or other relevant qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years' retail banking/ private banking experience, preferably with exposure to retail banking/ private banking business and knowledge of related regulatory requirements and guidelines
  • Strong knowledge in regulatory requirements on the selling of investment and insurance products, AML, QI, FATCA and CRS.
  • Strong business sense and knowledge of major products and services available in the private banking industry, preferably with understanding of the product life cycle from order execution, settlement, custodian to maturity/expiry.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong attentiveness to detail, compliance and control orientation
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese 
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
