We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Head of Distribution People Development. 

Principal Responsibilities

In this role you will

Training Needs Analysis 

  • Conduct training needs analysis with regards to regulatory & compliance requirements for new and existing HSBC Life Representatives (Reps) Design & Develop Training Programs
  • Develop training modules on regulatory & compliance with specific learning objectives & outcomes for HSBC Life Reps, and training contents and assessments suitable for face-to-face, online live training and e-learning training delivery
  • Create training contents and assessments that relate directly to the learning objectives & outcomes for tier 1 to tier 3 HSBC Life Reps 

Training Effectiveness

  • Adopt relevant post-training evaluation methodologies to evaluate the respective training modules effectively. Design & develop post-training follow-up & follow-through. Explore & create use of modern technologies to efficiently measure training effectiveness

Scope of Competency Training & related matters and not limited to:

  • Financial Advisory Industry Review (FAIR) - Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) Balanced Scorecard; Financial Advisory Process; and Market Conduct in the financial advisory process
  • Review & update of HSBC Life Training & Competency Plan and any other MAS regulatory requirements & HSBC Life internal policies 

Administration of Training Programs

  • Identify leaders/potential advisers & leaders who are eligible for training and prepare training logistics (pre-during-post training) 

Automation & Digitalisation

  • Innovate & automate learnings. Enabling digitalisation in training & development and financial sales advisory tools
Requirements

To be successful you will need

  • Relevant experience in financial advisory competency and/or sales quality
  • Relevant experience in the financial advisory industry
  • Strong understanding of insurance products, financial planning strategies and regulatory compliance (MAS, Financial Advisers Act, Insurance Culture and Conduct Steering Committee etc.)
  • Ability to work collaboratively with senior stakeholders and adapt training programs to align with business objectives
  • Strong analytical skills to measure training effectiveness and deliver improvements
  • Certification in training methodologies (e.g. WSQ Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA)/WSQ Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance or equivalent (ACLP)) is preferred
