HSBC Qianhai Securities Limited (HSBC Qianhai), a joint venture securities company, was incorporated on 28 August 2017, pursuant to Supplementary Agreement X to the Closer Economic Partnership Arrangements (CEPA) between the mainland and Hong Kong.

The registered capital of HSBC Qianhai is RMB1.8 billion. The Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (HSBC) holds 90% of the shares, while Qianhai Financial Holdings Co., Ltd. (QFH) holds the remaining 10%. Our headquarters are located in Qianhai, Shenzhen. We have branch offices in Beijing and Shanghai, and a trading outlet in Qianhai, Shenzhen.

2. Job Description

As part of the risk team supporting the growing business, the candidate will primarily focus on enterprise risk, resilience risk, model risk, and reputational risk management:

l   Represent Risk department to engage business lines and support functions and participate in new product / system / process change initiatives.

l   Responsible for implementation of the ERM framework and regular review of use and adoption of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) for Non-Financial Risk (NFR) & Financial Risk (FR) management. This includes Risk Strategy, Risk Appetite, Risk Taxonomy and Risk Control Library strategy and policy framework.

l   Stay current with regulatory requirements within scope and help prepare regulatory survey responses / submissions.

l   Prepare for and Participate in governance forums to provide management update and bring back action item / issues requiring attention.

l   Be the Risk department point of contact for audit engagements / incident report / reputational risk discussions.

l   Represent Risk to participate in project working groups on outsourcing / system development / implementation / enhancement projects, and participate in testing as needed.

l   Strike balance between local regulatory requirement and international best practice in risk framework.

Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

l   Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management related disciplines or quantitative subject.

l   Minimum of 5-7 years relevant working experience in related field.

l   Maturity and experience in engaging senior stakeholders and managing competing priorities.

l   Must complete AMAC and CSRC licensing exam, if not already completed, within 6-months of onboarding.

l   Enterprise and data risk management experience strongly preferred.

l   Nice to have: knowledge of scripting (Python) or database query (SQL) language.

l   Strong proficiency in written and spoken Chinese and English.
