The Product Solutions and Strategic Execution Team is a global team of c100 FTEs supporting all Securities Services (SSv) products and is accountable for the governance, design, management, delivery and execution of all strategic product and service-related programmes and overarching governance of the Securities Services operating model in line with strategy and targets.

This role will report directly to the Global Head of Product Solutions and Strategic Execution and will be responsible for the leading the New and Complex Product Strategic delivery portfolio within Securities Services (SSv). The role holder will be responsible for leadership of a portfolio aligned team of programme and project managers, business analysts and contingent project resources across multiple locations. The role will be responsible for overall Portfolio Delivery Execution of the strategic New and Complex Products portfolio as well as having holistic programme oversight of the relevant product development roadmaps and the adoption plans.
You will be a seasoned Delivery Director with experience in IT and Product who has been operating at a senior level and has global capability and a digital vision. You must have solid experience reporting into C- level management and dealing with stakeholders at the highest level.
We require an execution evangelist who is capable of strategic thinking but is also prepared to be involved in the delivery detail.

As our Head of Product Solutions, Americas you will:

  • Lead Project Management on a high-profile New and Complex Products strategic portfolio globally
  • Partner with product control and specialty leads in the annual planning and forecasting process
  • Own the intake of all new work and the evaluation of new change and project requirements within assigned portfolios, facilitating integrated triage to identify requirements, scope and budget
  • Partner with global other Programme Directors and Programme Office to implement the approved global vision for project management and contribute to the future evolution of the discipline
  • Own and manage project definition in scopes and staff plans with PMs within their portfolios, producing/overseeing indicative pricing and detailed budgets that match a description of deliverables and actual work effort
  • Use approved Project Management tools to establish portfolio dashboards and reports to report on financial health, live work and performance against KPIs
  • Independently own the delivery of multiple large New and Complex Product programs independently and with support from PM leaders and more junior project managers
  • Serve as an escalation point to manage risks and provide solutions-oriented consultation to integrated team leads, proactively looking around corners, controlling project scope and the change control process, and collaborating with leads to strategically identify and implement win-win solutions
  • Ensure ongoing portfolio and project health reporting where financial and non-financial KPIs are reported on to client, specialty, and geo leadership
  • Drive client discussions related to delivery strategy, scope, capabilities and budget

For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $200,000.00 and $280,000.00

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Requirements

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • Financial Services experience, specifically senior change in Securities Services and Products or other relevant client change function
  • Management of change within a Securities services and/or IT environment at Director level
  • Developing capability in change teams through coaching and training delivery
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Exceptional relationship management skills, with an ability to think strategically, manage complexity, significant change and multiple key priorities
  • Proven track record of successfully leading global Programmes
  • Leading and motivating high performing global teams in multiple locations both on and offshore
  • Influencing and negotiating at Managing Director level within a similar commercial environment
  • Inspires trust through credibility evidenced via exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
