Hang Seng Indexes Company Limited (HSIL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hang Seng Bank, is the leading index provider for the Hong Kong and mainland China markets. We calculate the internationally recognised Hang Seng Index (HSI) and Hang Seng China Enterprises Index (HSCEI) and continue to broaden our index range to meet a wide spectrum of investor demand for different index investment solutions. At present, we compile over 1,000 real-time and daily indexes covering both Hong Kong and mainland China.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Head of Research & Insights .
Principal responsibilities
- Reporting to the Head of Product of HSIL, the job holder is responsible for delivering content-driven Research & Insights to build awareness and engagement across HSIL indexes offerings, solutions and global client base of institutional investors
- Sustain Hang Seng Indexes’ authority in the China, Hong Kong and Global financial market;
- Develop and execute a comprehensive research strategy aligned with the company’s goals and market trends, focusing on index performance and market dynamics
- Plan and originate research publication ideas and generate quality research paper;
- Oversee the production of research reports and presentation to communicate insights effectively to variety of audience and to promote the Hang Seng Family of Indexes;
- Conduct research on the features / applications of various types of indexes and to produce relevant publication accordingly;
- Identify the latest market trend and produce quality feature article in a timely manner;
- Represent Hang Seng Indexes at conference, seminars and other industry events and to promote the Hang Seng Family of Indexes;
- Manage and mentor the team of researchers and analysts, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration
Requirements
- Thorough understanding in the financial markets, especially for the index industry;
- Strong sense in the latest development of the financial market;
- At least 8 years of experience in index / equity research or relevant industry experience;
- Capable of working independently as well as good team player with a strong sense of ownership;
- University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related disciplines;
- Excellent writing skills in both English and Chinese;
- Proficiency in English, Putonghua and Cantonese; and
- Exceptional ability to translate complex concept into succinct proposition for relevant audiences.
