The role holder will support the Group Insurance Risk Reporting and Governance Lead in managing all deliverables of the team assigned. This includes: (i) design, socialisation and development of Risk management information (MI) that facilitates visibility and oversight of current risk issues, as well as forward looking and trigger based MI (ii) design of processes to ensure effective, efficient and documented implementation of aspects of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and supporting guidance (iii) managing roll out of new governance requirements from Global Risk (iv) designing and collating evidence requirements for policy and procedure compliance and managing the regular process requirements (v) ensure delivery of the requirements for the risk management meetings (including pack management and information required to flow from underlying committees/forums (vi) regular reviews of Global Insurance risk map and Global and Local risk appetite statements (RAS) to ensure quality submissions in line with the RMF and challenge and remediate shortcomings (vii) management of delivery of MI requirements for Wealth and Private Banking (WPB) and Global Risk (vii) active engagement and relationship building required with risk stewards, CCO team, WPB and Global Risk teams, and entity risk teams to facilitate effective oversight.

In this role you will:

• Design, socialisation and development of Risk management information (MI) that facilitates visibility and oversight of current risk issues, as well as forward looking and trigger based MI
• Design of processes to ensure effective, efficient and documented implementation of aspects of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and supporting guidance
• Managing roll out of new framework requirements from Global Risk
• Designing and collating evidence requirements for policy and procedure compliance and managing the regular process requirements required to flow from underlying committees/forums)
• Regular review and challenge of Global Insurance risk map and Global and Local risk appetite statements (RAS) to ensure quality submissions in line with the RMF and challenge and remediate shortcomings
• Management of delivery of MI and other framework requirements for Wealth and Private Banking (WPB) and Global Risk
• Active engagement and relationship building required with risk stewards, CCO team, WPB and Global Risk teams, and entity risk teams to facilitate effective oversight

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

• Insurance experience and understanding of the range of product types across Insurance as well as a knowledge of principle risk types in scope is essential
• Experience in working in a risk control role with knowledge of risk frameworks would be an advantage
• Ability to form effective relationships and achieve influence, through good communication and interpersonal skills, and coordinate and manage stakeholders effectively at all levels
• Strong analytical skills
• Broad knowledge of the regulatory environment, particularly Insurance specific regulations
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Take personal accountability, be decisive, use common sense and commercial awareness
• Act with courageous integrity in decision making
• Demonstrate a high degree of organisational skills and experience in project management
