Global Markets is part of our HSBC Corporate and Institutional Banking division, a markets-led, financing-focused business that provides investment and financial solutions. Our Markets business is one of the largest of its kind in the world. It combines sophisticated 24-hour global coverage with a detailed knowledge of local markets. We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as Junior Associate 2.

Principal Responsibilities
In this role you will

  • A client facing role to support a team of Local Relationship Managers and/or Desk/Regional Account Managers in the Global Network Banking, CIB team on client management & business development activities for a portfolio of GNB clients with complex requirements
  • Communicate and liaise or coordinate with various internal stakeholders for example, Global Relationship Banker, in-country Relationship Managers, Credit Risk, Legal, Trade Finance, Cash Management, Global Markets, Operations to support client requirements and address client queries or issues in a timely manner in order to ensure client satisfaction
  • Assist in client planning, and co-ordinating origination & execution efforts across HSBC's universal banking product platforms, including global markets, cash management, global trade & receivables finance, securities services, capital markets and advisory
  • Demonstrate a commitment to excellence and perform to the highest standards, combining client relationship management with strong risk assessment and management capabilities
  • Understands, follows and demonstrates compliance with all relevant internal and external policies and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy
  • Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external standards that apply to the conduct of the business including but not limited to Know Your Customer, Anti Money Laundering regulations and procedures in order to fight or manage Financial Crime Risk
  • Maintain awareness of operational risk and minimize the likelihood of it occurring including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting and demonstrate leadership on Regulatory and Compliance matters
  • Uphold the highest level of integrity and act as a role model for all HSBC values and business principles
Requirements

To be successful you will need

  • Proven experience in managing corporate client relationships and driving business performance in a dynamic environment
  • Strong knowledge of Corporate & Institutional Banking products and services, general knowledge of trade, treasury, and payment & cash management products
  • Team player and detail oriented
  • Good credit, analytical and negotiation skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
