We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Lead Business Analyst.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the product owner and the scrum master in the management of their work stream Backlog and ticket prioritisation.
  • Perform analysis to provide the details needed to confirm requirements and refine the stories 
  • Contribute to ticket estimation and sprint planning
  • Break out stories into sub-tasks to facilitate the incremental delivery of the product.
  • Produce software solutions to the stories and sub-tasks assigned to the pod and deliver them as releases into UAT and production.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the roadmap for their Workstream
  • Develop the automation testing required to prove a tickets acceptance criteria have been met.
  • Contribute to the project RAAID by raising items when necessary
  • Contribute to the pods formulation of solutions and validate proposals and ideas to ensure that the pod proposals will satisfy the product 

    owner’s requirements. 

     

  • Attend the following Agile Forums and project meetings
  • Pod Scrum
  • Sprint Planning 
  • Show and Tell 
  • Retrospectives
  • Organise and contribute to pod level discussion forums to help clarify the stories and solutions as and when required 
  • Participate in the adoption and reinforcement of high standards of quality in all aspects of pod work.
  • Contribute to the definition of and implementation of best practice in all aspects of pod work.
  • Ensure that all software conforms to HSBC and project standards.
  • Conform to all bank and project standards that related to IT development.
  • Ensure Risks & Issues are captured in Clarity correctly, completely, and up to date
  • Working with the Project Manager, ensure Dependencies are captured in Clarity, up to date and necessary buy-in put in place
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Should have 12+ years of experience    
  • SQL, Data Quality Analysis, Python
  • Experience of working in an Agile environment
  • Good knowledge and experience supporting large, global, functional IT/Change Programmes 
  • Good knowledge of Programme and Project Management control methodologies and processes. 
  • Good working knowledge of Confluence and Jira
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships by communicating, influencing, and negotiating effectively with IT members, third party vendors, various internal teams (Business Management, Finance, Procurement) and business users
  • Willingness to own work and use initiative to resolve issues, whilst dealing with a diverse range of people
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain global team relationships
  • Ability to work as part of a team and show a dynamic approach to working and supporting the team
