We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Lead Consultant Specialist.

Principal responsibilities

• Set up the Tooling and Automation to ensuring monitoring & alerting setup is in place to flag off real issues in timely manner.
• Ensure proper business continuity and disaster recovery procedures are in place & up-to-date.
• Ensure no major security vulnerabilities are exposed in applications and fix in timely manner.
• Ensure on avenues to improve the overall service recovery and stability of our Applications.
• Automate the front to back systems monitoring.
• Ensure best use of On-prem and On-cloud resources for the optimal costs charged back to us.
• Ensure all these checks can be either automated fully, or partially with proper non-failing process to cover the manual part.
• Ensure CI/CD setup is the best in class, work with pipelines teams to fulfil any gaps identified, or working with the DevSecOps Engineers to create new pipelines.
• Build and improve the performance environments available for custody teams.
• Address any performance concerns in Applications, and in Infrastructure - to ensure proper resilience is in place – to serve our customers even on special spiked usage days.
• Increase the knowledge, technical expertise & up-skill people in defect, change, release, version, service, and problem management aspects, to foster strong DevSecOps culture.
• Collaborate with senior technical leaders to contribute to form strategies, defining roadmaps, to address any recurring service management issues.
• Collaborate / participate in the DevSecOps Discipline and wider associated communities.
• Keep up-to-date on tools and technologies in service management, cyber space to manage large-scale DevSecOps setup.

• Demonstrable experience in Infrastructure as Code and DevOps technologies: Github, JiRA, Kubernetes, Ansible, Shell scripting, Control M.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based technologies and tools especially in deployment, monitoring and operations, such as Data Dog, Prometheus, Splunk, ElasticSearch, Grafana
• Experience in automated deployment, release management, deep understanding of CI/CD processes.
• Proven experience developing with one high level language – Java, Python etc.
• Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design.
• Familiarity with micro services/services mesh development patterns.
• Using Kubernetes and Docker to schedule and run micro services.
• Ability to translate business level requirements to system level components or blocks.
• Ability to review the deliverables from other team members.
• Ability to understand the vulnerabilities and subsequent patching for infrastructure.
• Ability to work in diverse global teams.
• Strong working knowledge of modern development technologies and tools such Agile, CI/CD, Git, Terraform and Jenkins.
• Candidate will be required to continually enhance the skills within several specialisms which include gaining business knowledge, vendor product understanding, Impact Assessments, Development, Code Scanning and Deployments along with operational / business support.
• Ability to understand the code scanning reports, vulnerabilities and subsequent patching for infrastructure.
