Role purpose

A trusted Learning Manager who partners with Key Business Stakeholders to create and execute the end-to-end learning initiatives. Ensure that the training and development programs drive the Learning agenda to meet business goals integrating global and regional strategy while adhering to local requirements. The job holder needs to ensure HSBC is equipped to meet these challenges better than its competitors.  

Main activities

  • Be the ‘bridge’ between Learning and the Business establishing demand planning and managing the business relationships.
  • Carries out the end-to-end Learning process
  • Oversight of budget in conjunction with Americas/in Country Learning team
  • Work with global and regional teams to develop key initiatives to achieve Business & Functions goals.
  • Have a solid understanding of instructional design and be able to guide and create effective learning programs and materials. This includes structuring content, identifying learning and skills goals, selecting the most appropriate strategies and methodologies, and implementing educational technology when relevant.
  • Identify and develop vendors and solutions at a country level.
  • Provide the relevant info for the different committees and audit requirements country level.
  • Strong cross-cultural competence to collaborate and leverage the work with colleagues across regions and bring to the region the best practices to implement.
Requirements
  •  A bachelor’s degree in HR/Psychology/Organisational Development and/or business disciplines
  •  A minimum of 5+ years HR experience with focus on talent and development
  • Instructional Design Knowledge. Have a solid understanding of instructional design principles and theories, as well as best practices in the field.
  • Consulting Skills and Stakeholder Management
  • Working experience in a large or a matrix organisation, ideally international.
  • Experience in project managing and coordinating delivery through others.
  • Third party vendors coordinating experience.
  • English fluency is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
