We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Lead Consultant Specialist
In this role you will:
- Identify and manage standardization and globalization projects, Work towards implementing the shared services model for Global DB2 Admin & Sysprog POD.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Recommend & implement ideas for efficiency targets. Publish periodic updates on these initiatives for effective reporting.
- Ensure staff utilization meets required levels.
- Identify and initiate process efficiency to achieve FTE/ sustainable cost saving.
- Implement and monitor team-specific quality processes, ensure that PLA targets are met, BAU targets/project deadlines are met, contingency are planned.
- Mitigate and record risks early to ensure minimal and/or no impact to project deliveries.
- Establish and maintain effective high-level relationship with business areas and identify areas of service improvements,
- Monitor customer satisfaction levels through surveys, prepare and implement action plans and improve service levels.
- Demonstrate analytical and problem management skills.
- Motivate and develop team members across sections including specific attention to individual development or action plans as required to achieve business objectives and manage future growth of ITO Offshore DB2 DBA Team.
- Teams are regularly briefed and made aware of individual/department performance achievements/targets.
- Regularly and effectively communicate Groups initiative, policies, and other activities to the teams.
- Lead by example by participating into HTI and/or department activities to promote team building and have been “connection” with the team members.
- Ensure increase in efficiency and evaluate opportunities where automation and straight through processing may assist in cost reduction.
- Ensure that staffing is appropriate with proper backfills etc to meet business requirements
- Compliance reviews / audits achieve satisfactory rating. Feedback from internal control audits.
Qualifications – External
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, related technical field or equivalent experience.
- 13+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure
- Production support and Release Management of database environments.
- Define the physical database Design.
- Build, review, QA, implement, and support application database releases.
- Implement RACF/ACF2 DB2 security rules and Access authority.
- Build and maintain High Availability setup, replication setups and interact with application teams and other infrastructure teams.
- Installation, customization, and maintenance of DB2 for z/OS and related products.
- Sound knowledge in SMPE required for MVS environment.
- Excellent knowledge of relational database concepts of DB2 in z/OS.
- Proficiency in using DB2 tools from IBM, Broadcom and other vendors.
- Good knowledge in performance & tuning, database sizing, system support, security and documentation.
- Implement RACF/ACF2 DB2 security rules and Access authority.
- Data conversion/migration assistance.
- Proven experience in handling large teams in productivity driven environment, including staff appraisals and reviews
- Proven experience in managing and building relationship with large international accounts and customer service
- Worked in a infrastructure critical environment and understands how technology adds value to the business and ultimately the end customer
- Strong leadership and management ability, motivating team
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Staffing (including remote and outsourced) and Successful project management and staff management
- Understanding of the processes for change, configuration, incident and problem management.
- Ability to work under pressure, takes ownership, and delivers to commitments.
- Ability to build relationships and work as part of a team
