Role purpose
To facilitate the effective execution of people agenda for designated business / function to enable business performance. The incumbent is to be involved with aspects of People, which may include Employee Relations, Recruitment, Compensation and Learning & Development. This role will be located within the Divisional, reporting to the Lead People Adisory.
Main activities
Partner with International Wealth & Personal Banking (IWPB) Network Divisional Director to create and design effective people plans which drive strategic workforce solutions that contribute to business profitability & competitiveness, whilst ensuring alignment to the People Priorities.
Drive and own the talent management agenda, developing key and business critical talent, identifying and debating successors for key positions, ensuring continual focus on diversity.
- Coaching and Development for Divisional Director and Subdirectors, facilitating provocative discussion, building leadership capability and authenticity.
- Utilizing advanced analytics, leading discussions and debate with data, formulating insights & recommendations to inform workforce strategy development.
- Support, guide and educate Divisional Director and Subdirectors of IWPB Network to navigate people challenges across the spectrum of People Services with coaching and advice to help resolve the challenges.
- Support interpretation of policy and procedures and provide oversight of some complex events which require higher touch handling.
- Act as escalation point to resolve business-specific People problems/complaints or to coordinate multiple People specialists to resolve complex people issues relating to people issues.
- Working closely with the People Business Partners (BP), People Advisor’s, People Consultant’s and specialist to ensure alignment of approach to supporting the IWPB Network line of business.
- Support the change journey for people managers and employees around embedding HR Direct Services and Processes.
5 years’ experience within any areas of People.
Ability to build relationships at all levels, strong communications skills and ability to navigate and influence across the organizational matrix
Proven experience of delivering a proactive People service and implementing a people strategy in line with business objectives
Strategic agility – sees ahead, connects dots, can anticipate consequences and trends - able to translate business strategy into people strategy and tactical execution – knows how to get things done with and through others; and operational excellence
Strong leadership skills, ability to lead, motivate, coach, mentor and develop capability Proven
