We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist
In this role, you will:
- Define, develop, and maintain comprehensive network engineering standards, design templates, configuration guidelines, and operational procedures.
- Govern and enforce adherence to approved standards across all network infrastructure projects, upgrades, and operational activities.
- Lead the creation and management of network HLDs (High-Level Designs), LLDs (Low-Level Designs), network topology diagrams, configuration standards, and operational manuals.
- Collaborate with network architects, engineers, security teams, and IT management to align networking standards with business, security, and compliance requirements.
- Review and approve network solution designs to ensure alignment with defined standards and best practices.
- Maintain a central repository for all network engineering documentation and standards artifacts, ensuring version control and audit readiness.
- Conduct regular reviews and updates of engineering standards to incorporate new technologies, emerging security requirements, and operational learnings.
- Support network change management processes by providing standardized templates and governance for network changes and documentation updates.
- Lead internal knowledge-sharing sessions, creating clear documentation and playbooks for network operations, troubleshooting, and project implementations.
- Act as a technical escalation point for complex network design and operational challenges.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Overall 07+ years of experience in Networking
- Architect, deploy, and manage enterprise network infrastructures, focusing on high availability, security, and compliance.
- Configure and maintain Routing & Switching solutions using Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, ISR, and ASR.
- Implement advanced WAN, LAN, and Data Center networking solutions across global HSBC locations.
- Manage and optimize BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VXLAN, SD-WAN, and QoS to ensure seamless global connectivity.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues across multiple HSBC business units.
- Utilize tools like Cisco DNA Center, SolarWinds, Splunk, and Wireshark for real-time network monitoring and optimization.
- Conduct network risk assessments, audits, and ensure compliance with HSBC’s security policies and regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Ansible, and Python for automated network provisioning.
- Work in an Agile environment, contributing to Scrum or Kanban teams for iterative network deployments.
