HSBC Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) is a markets-led, financing-focused business that provides investment and financial solutions. Within CIB, Securities Services provides robust and reliable solutions that help clients mitigate risk and enhance their business performance. Working with institutional investors, banks, insurance companies, governments, and multinational corporations, this team covers fund administration, global custody, sub-custody and clearing, and corporate trust and loan agency services.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this team in the role of Officer Tax Securities Services

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly tax calculation and tax reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Validate and apply correct tax rates based on Client tax documentation, investment type, and applicable double taxation agreements.
  • Review, validate, and maintain Client tax documentation i.e DGT Form and Certificate of Residence.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax reclaim process.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance tax processes, improve efficiency, and reduce operational risk.
  • Provide tax-related support and guidance to other teams as needed.
  • Work closely with other teams to ensure the proper tax treatment of all transactions.
  • Monitor changes in tax regulations and update Clients on relevant implications
Information

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Indonesia Citizen only
  • Strong understanding of Indonesia’s and International Tax (Tax Treaty) Laws and Regulations.
  • Proficiency in using Coretax and other tax application.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Familiar with capital market transaction and the tax implication.
  • Experience in managing tax issues including tax reclaim.
  • Fluence in English, with strong written and oral communication abilities.
  • Brevet certification is highly preferred.
